What do you love most about your job?
I love that I am able to enhance peoples lives through creative landscape design that also honours the whenua (land) and deepens peoples connection to it.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Moving to Kerikeri in 2020 provided an opportunity to create a new life - work balance for myself and starting up a business doing landscape design meant I have flexibility while meeting my values: enhancing landscapes for beauty, function and environmental integrity.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Safe distancing when in person. If I am unwell I stay at home.
Garden Plan
After the initial site visit Anna provides you with a design brief. This informs the garden plan, provided to scale showing soft (plants) and hard (materials) landscaping features with detailed notes. This is beautifully drawn up by hand.
Plant sourcing and layout
Once the plan is approved Anna offers plant sourcing for Winter planting and provides advice on preparation for planting. Once the plants are procured she will then do the plant layout and is available project manage the garden implementation.
Fruit Tree Pruning
Annas favourite gardening activity is pruning, in particular fruit trees. With mastery she shapes and thins trees removing damaged / crossing branches, allowing light and airflow through, creating a balanced shape and optimising fruit development.
On-Site Consultation
This is a stand alone service or is the first stage of design. Anna meets with you on-site walk to observe, discuss and develop your vision for the land with reverence to its unique qualities. This is followed up with the delivery of a personalised guiding document. This captures in words the essence of your vision (your design brief) and provisional idea’s and observations to support you to move closer to realizing your concepts for this vision.
Ecological Restoration
We provide ecological assessments and possibilities for restoration with weed management, planting and pest control.
Landscapes across Aotearoa used to be native and wild, full of birdsong and biodiversity. They still hold the memory of this. Return or enhance your whenua to forest, riparian edges, wetlands...
Compost Systems
We develop personalised and efficient systems for managing your food scraps, garden material and dog doo.
We are also passionate about the wonderful biodynamic fertiliser 'CPP' - 'Cow Pat Pit'. Perhaps you'd like one at your place and can combine building one as a community workshop opportunity.
