We’ve had the opportunity and pleasure to attend two events where Jason was the DJ. And let me tell you that Jason does not disappoint! We could not be more satisfied with the work that Jason has put in for both my sister’s wedding and our own wedding.

Jason was very professional and easy to get in touch with whenever we had any questions or concerns. He not only listened to what our music preferences were but took it to another level, where all I wanted to do all dance all night. He was very helpful whenever we were unsure of any music or game choices. We had guests offering their comments saying how great the music was during and after the wedding reception.

Jason was absolutely amazing!!! We heard from word of mouth that Jason was the DJ that gets the party going and keeps it running all night long and we were so happy with our decision to have him deejay and emcee for us! Jason was super professional and really easy to discuss details with. He had great suggestions and was organized leading up to the wedding as well as the day of. He was so good we managed to go over 15 mins past the tear down time of the venue and guests were still dancing. We hired Jason from Nth Degree Entertainment to DJ our wedding after attending a friend's wedding that he DJ'd. Leading up to our wedding, Jason was professional, responsive, and asked all of the right questions to get us thinking about the kind of music we'd like to hear during the big day. He provided great suggestions when we didn't have strong opinions. He was able to provide all of his own equipment, arrived on time to set up, and did a fantastic job day-of. The music selections for the cocktail hour and dinner were appropriate, and the dance floor was so much fun. When planning our wedding, we knew that we needed an amazing DJ to turn our wedding into a party. We found Nth Degree through our venue as they are a preferred vendor there. We sent them an email and arranged to meet up to discuss what we were looking for. Tom met us at a location that was close to our home even though it was a bit out of the way for him and told us about all the packages they have — music, lights, MC services, etc. We talked about the kind of music we liked and would want to be played at our wedding so he could get a sense of which DJ in his staff would be the best one to work the wedding. When we decided to book, we were pleasantly surprised that Tom would be the DJ at our wedding because we both love 80s jams. The price we paid was also very affordable. Tom sent us sheets to fill out our music choices on for the ceremony and for the reception. All our email communications were promptly responded to, and Tom is very friendly and very easy to work with. When we sent back our sheets with our music choices, Tom called us to confirm the versions of the songs he had on file were the same ones we were thinking of to make sure there were no surprises on the day. The day of the wedding, Tom and his assistant, Pearl, arrived on time and set up quickly. Throughout the wedding they really went above and beyond to make the day so special and perfect for us. They asked us for clarification on name pronunciations and were always ready to run the microphone over to us when we wanted to make a speech. They anticipated our music needs and were very observant throughout the wedding — for example Tom suggested songs that would work well for parent introductions to the reception when we hadn’t picked one. We left a few songs up to their expertise (e.g. during signing of the register) and all the choices were spot on. They absolutely nailed the timing of the fades for the songs we had chosen for our entrances, it felt like we had put on a theatre production; that’s how absolutely stellar of a job they did. During the dance floor portion of the night, they played a good mix of music and took requests from our guests. The dance floor was super lively and people partied right up until the very last song was played. So many of our guests told us that the music choices were perfect and were happy to not hear the Top 40 radio music. Oh – and the service continues after the event! Tom kept in touch with us to invite us out to other gigs around Toronto that he thought we’d be interested in. If we ever were to host an event of this caliber again, we would definitely hire Tom, Pearl and Nth Degree. More...

I am so glad that we went with Nth Degree for our wedding. They have extensive experience DJ’ing weddings – and it really showed. They did a beautiful job coordinating the music for our ceremony in a way which was so smooth, and truly added to the moment. I had a very specific vision in mind for the music for the cocktail hour and dinner. Tom went out of his way to create a specific playlist in order to accommodate my wishes. During the reception, both we and our guests had an absolute blast. The dance floor was packed from start to finish due to Nth Degree’s excellent music selections. They knew how to play something to make our diverse array of guests happy – it was so awesome to see everyone on the dance floor. Nth Degree really wants YOU to have the best day possible. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Tom in November for our wedding at Black Creek Pioneer Village. We were really anxious about choosing the right DJ because we wanted someone who would really help get the party started. Tom was incredibly professional and his services were reasonably priced. Every year Nth Degree (Tom Hall and his brood) DJ our annual Lawyer's Gala. We have had nothing but positive experiences with them. They were very flexible with our schedule and were very professional and prepared even when there were last minute changes to the event. We did not have a set playlist but Tom ensured that we had a variety of music and played music that was in line with the evening. We had Randy dj for our wedding and he was wonderful! He completely knew our taste in music and played great tunes during dinner which resulted in cross table singing! The dancefloor was packed all night and we received so many compliments on the music. He even chose one of the final songs for the night (Bohemian Rhapsody) which resulted in the entire dancefloor singing. He read the crowd very well. We had Jason from Nth degree DJ our wedding back in September and we were BEYOND impressed!! Jason really got to know us and made us feel like we were old friends catching up and just talking about music. Music was a big deal for me personally since I work in the music business and I wanted it to be perfect. Upon asking us for our must plays, do not plays and priorities Jason delivered!! He even threw in a few songs that ended up in my husbands speech which is still something that guests are talking about. I cannot day enough about Jason and his level of attentiveness, care, and dedication all while making us feel like the best couple in the world! Our wedding DJ was Tom Hall and he was extremely easy to work with from the very beginning. Tom had a really clear understanding of the vibe we wanted and everybody was dancing the whole night. He did a great job mixing the songs together and compiling our favorite tracks, as well as being flexible during the night with requests and feedback. Jason Sparkes from Nth Degree Entertainment was the DJ for our wedding last weekend. He was absolutely amazing!!!! Great music was played throughout the night, and our guests loved the vibe - we had such a fun dance party! Jason was super attentive and accommodating to the music that we liked, while also picking songs that fit the evening. From the beginning of the planning process to the very end, Jason was there to answer any of our questions. We had such a positive experience with Tom Hall and Nth Degree Entertainment Group as the DJ for our wedding! Tom worked with us to really get a sense of the type of reception, tone, and vibe for the night we were looking to have. Nth Degree works with their clients to put together the perfect dinner and dance music playlist, taking into account our favourite bands and radio stations, song requests, and guest demographics to keep the party going and flowing all night. Tom & Pearl deejayed our wedding this past Saturday, December 2nd. Everything was so easy during the planning process which made everything on Saturday go off without a hitch. The uplighting added an extra something to our already beautiful venue. Everyone we spoke to after the wedding said that the music was on point which catered to both the older demographic early on and more current hits to keep the dance floor going later. My father-in-law had a song request that wasn't in their music library - but they downloaded it so that it could be played for him. Jason was referred to us by a close friend that has previously worked with him. He exceeded our expectations! Our guests were raving about him all night. He played an amazing mix of our requests and current/gold standard hits. We felt like we were on an incredible night out with friends – instead of being stuck with your stereotypical wedding DJ set. Leading up to our special day, Jason took care of us by sharing wedding planning templates and a survey to gauge our music preferences. He offered excellent suggestions and shared his wisdom from previous experience. At the wedding, he was on point with our MC – elevating the vibe and read the crowd to keep the dance floor buzzing. 6.0 out of 5.0 - This is the rating I would give Nth Degree!First and foremost I have to say it’s going to be very hard to condense this positive review into a few words. When we first contacted Tom, I believe it was actually on Christmas day. He was actually available to chat a bit on the phone even on Christmas day, and from that point onwards he always made himself available if we had any questions. From first point of contact to last, he was always quick, responsive and very helpful when we needed some ideas. We had a whole bunch of questions when we first met him, as when dealing with a DJ there really is no "sample" work you can look at. Photographers, videographers, make up people any other vendor you can pretty much see samples of their work through photos. But a DJ is one of those things that you really need to have a lot of trust and faith in who you hire. As when the night comes, the DJ is going to make or break the party depending on how he plays the music. When we were first planning our wedding, we pretty much had everything planned out except for one small fly in our ointment. Our banquet hall apparently had an in house DJ that we heard a lot of not so great things about. If we wanted to get an external DJ we would still get charged a fee. We were quite frustrated and were actually considering at one point just throwing up an iPod to play. Yup, we were that frustrated with the in house DJ. But a DJ is a definite must, as they are the ones that would be reading the mood of the crowd. Enhancing the atmosphere during dinner, speeches, games, and the after party. From the first moment we met Tom, we had total trust and faith in him. The one wrinkle was that we were getting hit twice since we were hiring an external DJ. Thankfully Tom was flexible enough to help us out and while we still ultimately ended up paying a bit more than if we went with the in house DJ, Tom was worth every single penny extra. He exceeded all our expectations and made it look easy =)The day of, he was in one corner and had all his equipment set up. If I recall correctly, I believe not only did he bring his main gear in but he also brought in some extra sub woofers/speakers to really get things going. He was also able to get us extra custom lighting in our hall at no extra charge, along with a Cantonese speaking MC (Thank you Pearl!).He played all the songs that we wanted at just the right times. The bridal party entrance was on point. Our first dance was on point. The games and everything over all was just bang on. Throughout the entire process, it felt more like I was working with a friend then just a vendor. Tom was always accommodating, responsive and willing to go above and beyond. He had lots of great ideas. Over all for a DJ I think we met him a total of 3 times in person along with our MC. And he was always available for either a phone call or via email. The in house DJ, we would not have met our DJ until the day of pretty much. How on earth can you trust someone you never met before to run the biggest party of your life? I’m super glad that we had Tom DJ our wedding. Just like how he was leading up to our big day, even that night he constantly made the effort to come by and ask to make sure if it was a good time to run this game, or is it ok if we start this portion of the night. He was probably one of the most headache free vendors we had. Worth everything we spent on him, and I hope he never changes. Do yourself a favor. If you want to have a worry free party, where you just show up and things are jumping you NEED to hire Nth degree.
