Great place, great peolpe! Known these guys over 15 years. Kru Mhedi has trained all over the world and won many titles, including three light heavy weight world Muay Thai belts. Great place to refine your art.

One of the best Muay Thai and mixed martial arts schools on the north shore! Kru Mehdi and Barb are the best and their classes are always fun and intense. Highly recommend KB-ONE to anyone just starting out or veteran martial artists. More...

I am very sad to write a poor review for a local business but I feel my story should be shared.
I have trained at KB ONE for four years, part of which I was also teaching kids and beginner classes. Recently I was unemployed and unable to afford to train (a whopping $130 for 2 classes per week) and when I told Mehdi that I couldn't continue due to financial issues, immediately he cancelled my membership and charged me a massive cancellation fee of $325. All though it does state in the contract that upon cancellation you would be charged 40% of your remaining balance, I had forgotten (like many of us, I didn't fully read the contract. Lesson learned). Why a business charges for cancelling, I don't completely understand. So I talked to Mehdi asking if we could make an agreement to lower or remove the fee. I hadn't ever said that I would never come back, so the fee seemed rather rude to me. He wouldn't agree to a reduced fee, all the while knowing that I couldn't afford it. Even while in his classes I was pressured to test for my next belt level, and every test costs cash. My next belt was going to cost me $79 (and they continue to get more expensive the higher you go). Mehdi was teaching the class I was in and I felt like he didn't pay me any attention. He focused on students who were really excelling or training for a fight with another gym. I came for his instruction, I got very little of it, and over all, I am left feeling like all I was to him was a chunk of cash. More...
