We hired Sarah to help with a significant house renovation in the winter of 2019 that included removing a wall between the dining room and living room, a complete kitchen renovation, Reconfiguring the entranceway, new hardwood throughout the whole house including the stairway and some work in the upstairs bedrooms. Sarah was very personable and a pleasure to work with. She was instrumental in introducing us to a reliable and talented contractor whom she had worked with before, which brought us peace of mind. We could not have completed the renovation in the timeframe we did without Sarah’s help sourcing materials and products and working closely with the contractor to make sure things ran smoothly. We hired Sarah to refresh and renovate the common areas of our 1980s-era downtown condo -- living room, dining room, sunroom, and powder room. The renovations needed to be done over a two-week period while we were on vacation. She managed the project admirably, overseeing tiling, drywalling, popcorn ceiling removal, potlight installation, and painting. Sarah was also great at finding the right pieces for our space. We had lived in our house for over a decade when we finally decided to overhaul our basement bathroom. The bathroom had been hastily installed by previous owners and looked like something out of horror film. We never used it, and would never have subjected anyone else to using it either. By some miracle. Sarah was totally game for taking on the challenge of transforming this nightmare into something beautiful without it costing an obscene amount. She was completely attuned to our style, and created a design that fit with us, our house, and our budget. She took great care of us along the way and made sure that we were comfortable with every step of the project. In the end, we have a finished bathroom, a finished hallway that leads to the bathroom and is separated from the rest of the basement, an open and beautiful staircase down to the bathroom, and a fabulous brick wall that looks like it was always part of the house. We contracted with Sarah Broderick of High Street Design to renovate our one-bedroom apartment at Harbour Square, Toronto in May 2017. We had rented out the apartment for almost 40 years and it was in its original state. A realtor who appraised the property advised us it would be difficult to find a renovator and contractor to do such a major refit as everyone was booked for the season by May. To complicate matters, we lived in Kingston and were not on site to plan and oversee any of the work. Enter Sarah B. We read her bio on Houzz and contacted her to see if she was interested in tackling this sizable job. She came immediately accompanied by her contractor, listened to what we needed done, proposed a plan, had her contractor provide a quote and references, and away she went. She supervised the entire job, sent us by email ideas, suggestions, samples and prices, sourced and purchased furniture, lighting, appliances, the whole works. She was on top of the contractor who basically gutted the place and then put it back into shape - 2017 style. By October everything was done and we only visited the apartment on three occasions just to get excited about the transformation. Sarah was instrumental in taking our 1970s tired and shabby unit and making it the stylish apartment it is today. I worked with Sarah to convert my photography studio into a live/work place. We re-modelled the kitchen with a new design which included a new wall to support new kitchen cabinets. We also took out the existing bathroom & updated with a new shower/toilet/cabinet with new tile. The bedroom was updated with a new custom closet & barn doors to compliment the look & feel of the space. The living space was updated with new furniture that made the place inviting. The office was also updated to make it a work practical space.
Sarah was very prompt with her replies to emails phone calls & sourcing out new products/contractor to get the job done within my budget & time frame.
Overall very happy with Sarah's services & I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Sarah is the best. She helped us decorate our entire first floor and we couldn't be happier. She managed to help us pull everything together, make it look fabulous, be toddler friendly, and on a budget. She also picked out all our paint colors for the entire house. I was skeptical initially because it involved colors that I wouldn't normally have picked myself but it all looks great. We continue to get compliments on everything from friends and neighbors.
