My husband and I had Jeff out for our wedding on June 15th and honestly there’s no one better. He just handles it, he has fantastic ideas, games and suggestions that one can only get from years of crafting his art. Hiring Jeff was by far the best decision we made for our big day. The entire day went so smoothly and flawlessly thanks to him. We attended a wedding the summer before that Jeff DJ’d and MC’d which made our decision to hire him an easy one! Jeff is so charismatic and knows how to engage the crowd. He was extremely helpful throughout the planning process and was always happy to have a chat or message me back with any questions I had! Jeff is extremely personable and even though we didn’t tell him our immediate families names ahead of time he knew all of them by name instantly! We only had positive feedback from guests about Jeff, everyone wanted to know who our DJ was and where we found him! He is so good at reading the crowd and keeping the dance floor full all night! Getting a great DJ was very important to us for our wedding, we got that and so much more with Jeff! He did a phenomenal job as our emcee as well as helping us plan our timeline and music and essentially being our day of coordinator. Every conversation we had with him prior to the wedding made us feel at ease and all of the things we were “stressing” about were no big deal. Jeff went over and above our expectations by attending our rehearsal the morning before bringing music so we were sure we had the right songs picked for the ceremony. We thought about hiring a day of coordinator but after speaking with Jeff about it decided not to. It’s hard to express how great he was on the wedding day; he was there early to set up and text messaging both of us to see if we needed anything. Throughout the day he was always making sure the day was flowing as planned and that we weren’t getting too overwhelmed. We felt that he was truly there for us! The days after the wedding we’ve received many compliments from our guests about how much fun everyone had. The games Jeff had planned were a huge hit with our crowd, they really broke the ice and had every person engaged and enjoying themselves. The dance floor was packed all night, he really did a great job reading the crowd. No one wanted the party to end! Jeff will tell you he’s typically more expensive than most DJ’s and we will tell you he’s worth every penny! I celebrated my best Friend’s Wedding this weekend and it was the best celebration! Jeff was a true professional and expert in his craft. So easy and fun to work with, it was obvious he loves what he does and was so meticulous about every detail, timing and making sure all the guests were having a good time. We knew from the very first meeting with Jeff Haymaker that he would easily be able to help us execute our dream wedding! Sure we wanted great music that would get the crowd dancing, but we also wanted to create something unique and completely memorable for both us and our guests . From MC to guest wrangler - Jeff handled it all in stride. We knew, the moment we sat down with Jeff, that we had picked the perfect Dj/Mc for our wedding. It was a no brainer! One of the best decisions we made. Jeff has a way of making you feel comfortable from the get-go. He walked us through all the details of our ceremony, reception and everything in between. We spent over two hours with him and it felt like we were asking our best friend to be our Dj. I remember telling to Brian ''He gets us, eh!'' because that's the truth! Jeff was our DJ and MC for our wedding in August 2018 at the Hotel Eldorado, and we can’t say enough about the amazing job he did. Many of our guests thought that he must have been a close friend or family member because that’s how personable he was! Jeff was an integral part of making our day successful, right from the beginning planning stages to the day itself. He had so many great ideas and definitely knows how to get the party started. DJ Haymaker was an essential part of the biggest day of our life! He made it so easy to have all the music we want as well as not having to worry about something happening on the mic during the entire evening. The professionality of DJ Haymaker is the top of the line, at no point during our night were we concerned about what would come through the sound system. The recommendation to have DJ Haymaker at our wedding, as well as MC, was one of the best choice that we made during the whole process of planning the wedding. Some of the most memorable parts of DJ Haymakers role in our wedding were nothing that we could have ever planned, or thought of. Jeff is AMAZING!!! I first saw him at a wedding years ago and I used to try and book him every year for 3 years in a row for my corporate party but he was always booked. When I got engaged I booked my venue and then contacted Jeff right away and booked him as fast as I could! I had high expectations and he exceeded all of them!! He put in effort to get to know us and our wedding party, coordinated the timeline of our day and made sure it went so smoothly, bringing lawn games and projector equipment, being our MC and organizing the most hilarious games and kept the dance floor packed all night. I sent him a few Croatian songs to play and he did some of his own research and found other Croatian hits that blew my Croatian guests away. Jeff was AMAZING! We couldn’t imagine a better MC & DJ, from the minute we chatted on the phone with Jeff we knew he was going to take our wedding to another level. And he seriously did! Looking back on our wedding day, one thing that we love, is when we think of our reception we think of laughter, Jeff had EVERYONE laughing the entire time, it was so perfect. We wanted our wedding day to be fun, and for our friends and family to have fun, and Jeff made that happen. Jeff was wonderful from start to finish! We knew as soon as we talked to him for the first time that he was the DJ we wanted for our wedding. My wife and I weren't even planning on a DJ for our home wedding for about 35 people, but went to one of DJ Haymaker's events and we couldn't call to book him fast enough! He is extremely personable, outgoing and easy going, but more than anything has an innate understanding of people and an incredible ability to read a crowd. Well, after a long and enduring 2017 the memory of our beautiful day will certainly be a lifetime highlight! We have an incredible amount of gratitude for Jeff and the fact that he was able to make our day as seamless as possible. DJ Haymaker was both the MC and DJ at my wedding June 2017. From the moment he answered my call when I was just looking for quotes, I knew he was the perfect fit for my wedding. Moving closer to the date, it was easy to coordinate the details even though I am in Vancouver and he is in Kelowna. He gave me great advice on how to coordinate the big day, and gave me fantastic feedback as he had personal knowledge of both the venue and wedding commissioner I had scheduled. From the start DJ Haymaker told me his goal is to have everyone leaving our wedding saying "That was the BEST wedding I have ever been to!".. and that are the exact words I heard multiple guests utter the day after. Even though I had to work hard to convince my husband he was worth the hefty price tag - at the end we both feel he was 100% worth every penny. I truly do not even have the words to describe what happened this past weekend...AMAZING is the first of many that come to mind! As a wedding venue we see DJ's constantly throughout the summer, they're all great! But this weekend we were beyond excited to see DJ Haymaker at ShyLynn Ranch for the first time and...WOW! We definitely understand that there truly is a difference between a DJ and an entertainer because Jeff was both! He kept the crowd going all night long, bringing together all ages throughout the crowd. It's actually kind of hard to focus on your job when you're too busy watching the dance floor, lol. We got married on September 1st, 2017 in Kelowna, and our wedding was amazing! It went off without a hitch, and a large part was due to Jeff. Having an amazing DJ was so important to us, and picking the best was a no brainer. We found Jeff on weddingwire.ca and his reviews were off the charts, so expectations were high. We were also planning our wedding by ourselves from Vancouver, without any help from a wedding planner, and Jeff was instrumental helping us plan our day, and not just the music. He made himself available for phone calls often in the months leading up to the wedding to help us plan, and to get to know us. Jeff also knew many of our vendors, and they knew him - The reputation Jeff has in the Okanagen is amazing, as many of our vendors were incredibly complementary of Jeff, and were excited that we booked him. In the days leading up to our wedding day, Jeff made sure we were all aligned on music, schedule, and just really helped calm our nerves. He provided music for our ceremony at the church, and the reception, and was able to fulfill all our requests. We also had a good friend of ours MC our wedding, and Jeff worked really well with him. Their chemistry was amazing, and everyone thought they knew each other for decades. When it came to get the party started, Jeff knew exactly how to get people excited with entertainment that involved everyone. The costumes and games were on point and super fun and everyone was laughing hysterically. Then it was was time to open up the dance floor.... he played all our requests at the perfect time and kept the energy going until 1am. After our wedding, many of our closest friends and family kept saying how amazing our DJ was, and that if we knew him, and if he was part of our circle of friends. When we heard through the grapevine that DJ Haymaker was the DJ we "had to have" for our wedding, we had no idea how true these statements would end up being. Jeff Hay genuinely made our wedding day the day we always hoped it would be; fun, organized, and incredibly memorable. He worked with us patiently throughout our entire 2 1/2 year engagement (even though we were planning from afar) and provided guidance for almost all of the decisions along the way. Jeff is kind, caring and fun. He made every effort to get to know us leading up to our wedding, and as our MC, made sure the room was full of laughter and smiles the entire evening. Jeff was amazing to work with, he was an excellent MC and coordinator. He took our ideas and ran with them, and if we brought an idea to the table that might not work he gave his honest opinion and helped us try something different. As the bride I had zero stress during the planning process and heading into the big day. I had complete trust in Jeff and was able to relax and just enjoy the celebration. He is extremely thorough and after only a few phone calls it felt like we were old friends! Some of our wedding guests actually thought we were old family friends. I've attended a lot of weddings but nothing compares to the one last night. I couldn't believe how he packed the dance floor ALL NIGHT LONG! He had something for everyone. He got the party started from the moment the bridal party was introduced and kept every single person engaged the entire night. The music during cocktail hour and dinner was absolutely perfect. My husband and I chose Jeff to DJ/MC our wedding. Best choice we ever made. He was more then just the DJ/MC, he planned a majority of our special day! It was everything we both dreamed of and more. We got married on August 11, 2017 and had DJ Jeff not only DJ but also be our AMAZING master of ceremony!! He was always touching base with us before the big day making sure he was up to date on any changes or song choices and was able to provide a lot of support with his vast experience. He really does want to make sure that everyone at the wedding not only has a memorable experience but also finds a way to engage them all to just let loose and have fun. Absolutely wow! I have to say right from the beginning of wedding planning to dancing the night away our experience with Jeff and Jennifer was a breeze! We are from out of town and were worried about not being able to meet before booking however, Jeff put a nice personal touch right from the get go in setting up a phone date to really get to know us. Throughout the planning process both Jeff and Jennifer were 100% present, I never waited more than 24hrs for a response if it wasn't immediate. Jeff asked all the right questions to get to know our guests and what type of music, games and interaction would keep the party going all night long. The day of went off without a hitch. From our wedding music to bridal party introductions and then dancing into the wee hours of the night Jeff coordinated perfectly with our Emcee's to figure out the perfect combination. We had many people chatting afterwards about how much they learned about us when Jeff did a how well do you know the bride/groom game to get the dinner service started. His upbeat, fun yet professional personality made our guest feel comfortable and really got the party started during dinner! Song after song people danced at the night away. We don't ever remember a moment when the dance floor was empty and people raved all night about how perfect the music was. Having Jeff at our wedding was the best decision we made. We wanted to host an event that was classy, FUN, and well organized, and he played a role in allowing us to host exactly that. From having someone watching the time and leading us through the day and night, to having one of the most rocking parties on the dance floor, it was absolutely the best day of our lives. I am so glad to say that we had such little stress about the entire event thanks to us knowing we were in good hands. My husband, Derek and I got married on Saturday, July 8, 2017. I had been to another wedding before that I remembered being so much fun. The reason for that was they had Jeff as their MC/DJ and it was the best wedding I had ever been to. I knew that when my special day came along I HAD to have Jeff as our MC/DJ as well! My daughter, Nathalie and her husband, Derek got married on Saturday, July 8, 2017. When they asked me to help them plan their wedding, one of the first things they mentioned was that they HAD to have Jeff, DJ Haymaker as their MC/DJ at their wedding! ! My husband, Bert and I had experienced Jeff in the past as MC/DJ at several Corporate Christmas parties. We remembered having such a great time at these parties and how Jeff was a great DJ and had us all on the dance floor! As the Wedding Planner it was a pleasure for me and a comfort to work with Jeff and his assistant Jennifer! Jeff gave lots of good advice and most importantly, Peace of Mind. He was there at the ceremony rehearsal and made us all feel confident that the wedding day would go as smooth as possible, which it did !!! We had lots of family and friends coming to Kelowna for this wedding from near and far. We wanted them all to have a wonderful experience and we thank Jeff for contributing to this by providing beautiful music during the ceremony and for being the MC/DJ at the Dinner and Dance with fantastic games that made everyone laugh and great music that made everyone get on the dance floor all night long!! What can I say about this specular man, Jeff really is the master at what he does! Not only will be blow the socks off your guests because of his high energy, but everyone will think that he's a friend and has been a part of the crew for years. Jeff knows people, and has a way of making everyone laugh and feel ultra comfortable. Our wedding was July 1st 2017 and having him MC took all the stress off me because he controls the flow for the night. From the time he introduces you to the party, to the last call and the last shuttle he has you covered. We were so blessed to have a great team taking care of us and I felt like I just sat back and enjoied it all! Our wedding day was Sunday June 25 2017 in Oyama BC on family property. Jeff was our first priority when it came to planning the wedding, our date was literally booked around his availability and he did not disappoint! The wedding was unforgettable and we owe a large portion of that to Jeff. We hired Jeff as our MC and DJ for both the ceremony and reception to ensure everything ran smoothly. He met us a couple times before the big day to go over details and gather information but by the way he presented himself the day of you would think he knew us for much longer. Jeff is very personable, fun and very reliable. Planning a wedding with Jeff brings peace of mind (and we all know that is hard to come by). The big day went off without a hitch! He showed up early to ensure logistics were handled and his equipment was running smoothly. He had all our music cued and literally managed the flow of the day so we didn’t have to even think about it. From some great icebreakers, to memorable and sentimental moments he pulled off the perfect combination for our guests. "Where did you find this guy?" "Tonight has been so you guys" "I don't want the party to stop" "Hands down best wedding DJ/MC we have ever seen" Shall I go on? Our guests could not stop raving about Jeff and how he topped off the already amazing day. When we first started planning our wedding the top three important things were our officiant, entertainment and food. We were to spare no expense. We were referred to Jeff through friends of ours that had either used him for their own wedding or had attending one of the events he hosted. We were assured that we wouldn't be disappointed! After chatting on the phone and emailing back and forth we finally got the opportunity to meet up in person. After that we had no doubt that he was going to be worth every penny we had to spend. This guy is so unreal at his job I don't know how any else in the industry keeps up. He not only took the time to get to know us on a business level he took the time to really get to know who were were as a couple, individuals and how crazy our family and friends might be! The amount of detail Jeff takes in and then applies to evening makes every moment so special. As my husband and I are from two opposite sides of the country we had a lot of people coming together for the first time so we really needed someone who could help with getting everyone up and intermingling. He blew this out of the water! He worked that room like no ones business not leaving a single person out. My feet were so sore the next day because I didn't want to get off the dance floor all night. If the venue would have allowed it we may have kept him there until all wee hours of the morning. As they say all good things must come to an end! Carl and I couldn't have imagined our day without Jeff and no words can describe how grateful we are that he was a huge part of such an important day. We can't wait to hire him for our next event! 5 year anniversary party maybe?!?!?!?!?! And have no doubt we will still have two bus loads of guests for him to entertain.
