We contacted Christine immediately once we decided on renovating our powder room, kids bathroom and mudroom flooring. She already had a strong grasp on our style and risk tolerance (for finishes and decor) from our work together in 2017 when she helped with a major main floor renovation. She listened to our ideas, presented some great "mood boards" and off we went - she sourced all components quickly and was very responsive whenever we had a question or concern. I’ve worked with designers before where I felt they didn’t listen to what I liked, Christine seemed to understand what we liked just by talking with us. She came to present our basement renovation with the most amazing fabrics. She knew we owned a home in Arizona and decided she’d bring a little southwest to Oakville. The color and pattern she put together was amazing I could never put together all these pieces and make it look so complete.

She helped me see the vision and walked us through each step in the process. I never felt like I wasn’t involved even though I was hundreds of miles away while everything was in progress. Doing a renovation is difficult enough but doing it from afar can be stressful, Christine was there to make sure everything was done correctly checking in and correcting any problems immediately.

Once when traveling my husband and we saw something we liked the look of for our fireplace. I texted Christine a picture unsure she could make it work. She quickly responded then sourced materials we could use to make our vision not only work but look fabulous.

I looked forward to her picture updates they always kept me in the loop on the progress and it was exciting to see our empty basement transforming into a beautiful living space. The only problem with working with Christine is when you see your completed space you want to do the rest of the house.

My husband Mark and I hired Christine Dacosta just over 3 years ago to do a major re-decorating on our main floor. To quote Christine; "we were taking our home from drab to fab"! Mark and I had moved into our home from Chicago and had no idea where to source furniture etc. We had two young kids and full schedules. Christine took the time to meet with both of us, uncovering our needs and making the renovation as seamless as possible. We replaced carpet with hard wood in our family room, added new custom built in's in the family, foyer and a window seat in the living room. She was a master at fabric selection and helping me see beyond plain colours without pattern. That is one area where I find interior design is important. Helping get you out of your comfort zone and see how texture and colour work together. We also replaced all furniture in the dining room, living room and added a table in the kitchen. We also re-decorated the powder room with beautiful wall paper, light fixture, mirror and hard wear. In the dining room we added a long funky chandelier which I love! There is no way I could have pulled off such a transformation on my own, Christine is very talented and loves what she does! More...

Christine has been wonderful to work with! She knew exactly what we wanted and executed it effortlessly.
