Welcome to Cygnus Events. We pride ourselves in providing some of Vancouver's finest DJ's, all of which have over 10 years of experience and perform at the highest level.
Founded and run by DJ G Swift, who has over 20 years of experience as a DJ and is a specialist in Electronic music, Hip Hop, Disco, Funk, Mo-Town and regularly rocks the dance floor with every genre of music.

What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Reading the crowd, taking the crowd on a journey and knowing what to play to keep the right vibe going on the dance floor. I keep it interesting and exciting, I use my mixing skills to add excitement and atmosphere and my timing to take the dance floor to the next level.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I am a party rocking DJ. I am an open format DJ and can fill the dance floor with any genre for 4+ hours. I am a skilled DJ with experience performing at a world class level and can rock it with the best!
What do you love most about your job?
I love the feeling I get when the dance floor is really going off and I am bringing up the energy with the music. The energy is very high in the room and I can really feel it , its awesome!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been collecting records since 11 years old and started playing in lounges and clubs when I was 17. As I became more experienced I was getting offered corporate gigs and weddings and I am passionate about creating a great event with my music. I worked with other events companies and always got great feedback. I always aim to excel and deliver the best customer experience and I decided to start my own company to deliver this.

There are many DJ's out there and the barriers to entry with today's technology have come down allot. I am a DJ with great experience, only paralleled by people at the very top of the industry. Experience and skills count for allot in this business and when people hire me I always get a great reaction, most are amazed at what a real DJ can do. There are many people out there faking it, I have the skills and experience to deliver at the highest level.
