What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?

No one thing can make a great photograph. Attention to small details and if the subject has a thought or if you think like a novel, a plot as to what they are doing. Why does the shot make sense?

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

Other than what their expectation or outcome is, One question I have is what story do you want this project to tell. Where are you going to use it? This helps to determine the composition of the picture as well.

What do you love most about your job?

During the event, capturing the pictures in my camera, I see the potential of the picture. If it is a party, Wedding or candids, that cannot be recreated, so it is important to get a great shot in the camera every time. Depending on the type of event I am shooting, I can make small adjustments and create an even better image. But, what I really enjoy is when I hand over the final project and I get the oohs and aahs.

I will always remember the couple I delivered their pictures on a memory stick. As I was with the husband looking at the view from their balcony, his wife was looking at the pictures. She literally brought the laptop out and exclaimed that this was the best picture they had ever had together. That makes my chest expand with pride. And, they are already booking me for another portrait with another part of the family.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I look at what is out there and honestly, there are a lot of good photographers out there. No better, no worse, but each photographer is an artist with their own style. I know I can give you a good experience. Although it is ultimately about the final project, but the journey is the most stressful.
I found that I am able to work with adversity and I really enjoy pleasing my clients with a great product but also without having to worry about a lot of small details.

Why should our clients choose you?

Not everyone enjoys what they do. I will admit that there are parts that I enjoy more than other parts, but even the least desirable part of the process is rewarding.
Rodney Stinn Photography will show you that we are flexible and have the technical expertise to deliver a product that you are going to enjoy. I partner with Make-up Artists (MUA) and Hairstylists when necessary. I can deliver top quality albums, prints and canvas prints at a reasonable price.
If you are looking for a Photography team to tackle your event, big or small, contact us to go over your specific needs. We have only 5 Star ratings for a reason.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Everything up until the event can be completed remotely through email, text and calls. The event is of course in person but the delivery of the final product can be completed remotely. If we are building you an album, we do prefer that we meet as we can design the album very quickly. We move pictures, replace certain pictures and re-size them so that you can see the immediate layout which will normally take less time to finalize, order and deliver the finished product to you.
