We are new to Zen Math. When I was looking for one on one alternatives to the local (in-person, group based) Math tutoring service there were a wealth of tutors available online but when I reached out to Zen Math, Danielle impressed me with her experience, methods and qualifications. My daughter just began her tutoring journey a month ago and already I see the difference in her. Danielle matched her with a wonderful tutor who is doing a fantastic job at explaining certain concepts that she wasn’t understanding in class.

What do you love most about your job?
My own math journey came with its struggle and I never thought about myself as a math person. Now I use a specific methodology to teach students HOW to learn math so they can see their potential and skills. We all can learn math with consistency, guidance and the right mindset.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have tutored for over 20 years and taught math in high school for 18 years. Seeing the stigma associated with learning math drives me. I want to show students the exact strategies for homework, studying and mindset in order to become top math students.

I truly care about the individual and value their math journey. My approach goes beyond the numbers. I encompass mindfulness, and emotional well-being to build out a positive growth mindset. Students are enlightened with a clear path to math success and self-discovery of how tenacious and strong they are.

I and my tutors offer one on one tutoring and online prep courses designed for the Ontario math curriculum. I am a certified Ontario high school math teacher and have tutored for over 20 years. My goal is to create elite math learners through mindset and strategy. I want to show them HOW to learn math with ease.
