We hired Severino, and after him coming and doing a quote, we agreed upon a deposit

After about ten percent of the work was done, he requested another $13,000 dollars. The work done was in his quote. After consultation with thw Government of BC it was founded he does not a bonded license allowing for the collection of deposits.

After six week, 39 telephone calls and 14 emails not returned and no contacts or attempts made to rectify the issue. We hired another licensed contractor. It turns out Severino did not even pull the permits as required by law, and thr six electrical outlets installed were infact wired incorrectly. They had six outlets and five pot lights wired to one feed and failed to properly ground everything. They were all hot.

Now, after this was founded, the new contractor removed the drywall they installed. They missed 3 foot sections of insulation on the basement walls. The framing was to be 2x6, and the bottom plates should have been treated lumber. They were dimensional 2x4 lumber, bottom plates direct on concrete and walls werent pinned to the concrete. Only screwed to existing corner wall.

The bathroom installation downstairs. They cut the concrete, and despite raising concerns about it, they cut the concrete floor to run the drain pipe, and rather them cut a foot over, they sawed close to the wall and into the footing. This has lead to me having to hire an engineer and an additional bill of $40,000. The vent pipe they installed. They routed it into the wall. They did not even vent it outside. It was boarded over so it could not be seen. This would have leaked methane into my family residence.

Severino talked an amazing front, like he knew what he was doing. The quoted price and the listed work was not completed and as he failed to return telephone calls, I had to hire a professional conractor. Thankfully I did as the fire hazards from improper electrical, venting of a stink pipe hidden behind wall, cutting of structural footing. Bad work. More...

Very disappointed in Severino.
Totally unprofessional and unqualified to be a building contractor.
Garbage everywhere, work done wrong, seems like he doesn't know what he is doing and what supposed to be done.

The worst experience we have had with so called contractors . A job that should have taken 6 weeks took 12.They left garbage all over the yard both construction and personal. We would go days without any one showing up. A minus rating More...
