What an amazing and talented team! I hired Gem to my hair and makeup for my wedding including a trial. During the trial, I realized I didn't like the vision I had for my hair and Gem took the time to completely redo it in a way she thought would work better with my dress and overall style. Her idea looked so much better so thank you for helping me with that! The day of the wedding, Gem and her team did the hair and makeup for myself, my mom and my 6 bridesmaids and I can honestly say everyone looked amazing. Nicoletta did such an amazing job with my mom in particular and even took the time to show her how to apply false lashes herself for next time. She was so pleased with the whole experience, she plans to book Nicoletta for all her events! As an added bonus, my makeup lasted the whole day and night! The only touching up I needed was lip gloss. I just wanted to drop in and give a review of Jem’s one on one hairstyling class. I’ve been doing makeup for 10+ years and have always been overwhelmed by hairstyling to be honest. I’ve reached out to Jem a couple times over the past few years and while she’s always been game to teach me.. I wasn’t ready to commit to picking up this new skill. Now that I was ready to learn and grow, let me tell ya - I feel so confident after spending 2 days one on one with Jem! We went through 7 hairstyles in two days and we worked on perfecting techniques like teasing, curling, pinning etc. I feel like I finally have a strong set of hairstyling skills+techniques to practice and build on. Jem also provided detailed notes on everything she taught and showed me everything in her hair kit. We talked shop and she was generous in sharing her knowledge in running the business as well. I’m really glad that I finally took the leap and Jem guided me with patience. She’s a talented + knowledgeable educator and if there are other MUA’s who want to level up and offer a whole new service to their clients, hit up Jem. You won’t regret it!! More...
