sugarbowl bakery is so amazing! let me start off by saying the ladies who work there are so nice , friendly and accommodating. I got ahold of their fb page looking for a special item for my 1st wedding anniversary. New York style black and white cookies . My husband being a truck driver was in love with them, but hadn't had them in years . So I wanted to surprise him by having these made. And boy was he surprised! They were so delicious. He said they tasted exactly like the ones he had at crumbs bakery in NY. Maybe even better lol. Bought the ‘fries with dip in a basket’ ( sugar cookies) for my 15 year old granddaughter. Had not even left the Sugarbowl parking lot when she said ‘ these are the best sugar cookies ever’ and went on to rave about the texture. ..soft on the inside and crunchy like fries on the outside. There three dips you can choose from- strawberry, caramel and buttercream- all made by Michele. My granddaughter couldn’t pick a favourite. All were delicious. What a creative treat! I will never go anywhere else for my birthday cake, or any of my family or friends birthday cakes! This was the best cake I have ever had, and this was my 56 birthday, so that's a lot of years of birthday cakes! I will only ever order from this bakery because it is spectacular and the customer service, the personal treatment of the customer service, is beyond reproach. I called yesterday, ordered a beautiful citrus cake with whipped frosting and white chocolate curls. It was delivered to me today, along with a birthday card! They made my day so very special. Two quarantine birthdays for my two younger boys were saved by Michele and her amazing works of delicious art. She wowed all of us by going well beyond expectation. My youngest was so excited by his pirate themed strawberry cake (fresh berries pouring from the centre) and my other son was indulged with a really fun Oreo cake! I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter from Sugarbowl Bakery. I wasn’t really sure what I wanted, and just said “my daughter likes candy”, lol. She created the most AMAZING candy-themed cake I’ve ever seen, with a nerd explosion when you cut into it! All of my children completely LOVED it and squealed in delight. Even my grumpy teenager couldn’t pretend that it wasn’t the best cake ever, lol. The entire process was so easy and stress-free, which is saying a lot during this pandemic, lol. Michele at Sugarbowl Bakery saved me during these difficult Covid19 times. On very short notice , she was able to create a beautiful birthday cake for my 89 year old Father, who is in a Long Term Care Home. She also created cupcakes, so I could thank the staff at his home. I love this shoppe! Friendliest owner you will ever meet. Excellent products, delicious cookies, cupcakes, cakes and more. I usually find cupcakes to be prettier than they are delicious. That is not the case at Sugarbowl. Just like homemade, but more beautiful. Very reasonable too. So much work goes into these products. I will be back, again and again! I sampled a few of the new menu items today and they are to die for. the new Nutella brownie cake is decadent and rich! Not a fan of Nutella? No problem, theres such an amazing flavour profile in this cake that it's a winner all around. also recommend the new Limoncello cake is light and bright! My family and I have been using Michele for some years for exceptional tasting as well as aesthetically wonderful cakes. Now that she's opened her own Bakery I can honestly say that I am looking forward to eating more of the delicious treats she has available went in today her counter was well-stocked ( till i cleaned her out) shop was nice prices were fair.
