I have followed Ava’s work for years. Each & every one of her projects resonated with me in one way or another. When it came time to renovate my home, Ava was my first and only call. In our initial meeting, she really listened to how I live my life and wanted to use my space. From her first concept board, I was elated with her vision of my project. Ava has a unique ability to take her clients ideas and to refine & elevate them into interior art. Her choices for me to select were always exactly what I was looking for. Comfortable, interesting and beautiful. It didn’t take long for me to fully trust I would end up with stunning spaces that I am so proud of. Collaborating with Ava was so fun and easy. In any renovation, I think managing client expectations and communication is key. As I was not very experienced in renovating, Ava & her team went completely above and beyond to hold my hand through the entire process all the while ensuring I was always happy. She had a barrage of vendors and just knows what works. I will never work with another interior designer other than Ava. I have already referred her and will continue to do so any chance I get. I am extremely confident in her ability to create the perfect space! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. More...

Kitchen Design & Planning

Great service. We are so grateful for the design and planning provided. In addition, the sharing of resources such as sub trades and securing supplies helped us immensely. We are so pleased with our new kitchen. More...

Q&As

Phase 1
*Video call + Initial site visit
we e-mail you a little intro about us + a link to schedule a quick video call where we go over how we work, our team, + our pricing.
If our call indicates we're a good fit, we'll schedule another meeting so we can get to know each other and gather all the info we need to get started on your design proposal.
Right after our meeting, the AKC team will get started preparing your digital design proposal, which will outline all of your top wishlist items and the scope of work + estimated timeline for your project.
Within 48-72 hours of the meeting, we'll send this proposal over via e-mail for you to review, and schedule a quick follow-up call to go over everything.
Once you're ready to hop in, we'll sign contracts and then the fun begins. We'll send over your "homework" (don't worry it's not graded) and get our official "Onsite day" scheduled.

Phase 2
Design Creation + Presentations
Once we've reviewed homework + taken measurements on onsite day, we'll get started on the design phase.
Whether you're doing a full renovation, a partial renovation, or sticking with furnishings only, we'll get the design rolling and present all the materials to you in person for a real hands-on experience.
This is our time to get feedback and make adjustments on the design before finalizing + moving onto Phase 3.

Phase 3
-Ordering, Tracking and Receiving
Once the design and any revisions are approved + finalized, we get started on ordering everything.
We've got a handy dandy section of the finalized spec book that defines who's making the purchases (a.k.a. the dedicated purchaser) so there's *no confusion* on who orders each item, whether it's AKC, the client, or the contractor.
And when it comes to anything ordered by
AKC, we've got this system dialed. We use a receiving warehouse for all furniture, so everything is housed in one space, inspected carefully, and safe-housed until install day.

Phase 4
-Design Implementation + Contractor Communication
If you're working with AKC on a construction project, this is the point in the process where a finalized construction binder is handed over to the GC so demo can begin.
We work closely alongside the General Contractor and provide them with a very detailed binder during this phase to make sure everything is built according to the design the client approved.
The best part about this phase is that if there are any fires, AKC handles putting them out, so our clients get to breathe easy.

Phase 5
Completion, Installation + Celebration
It's tillime! Once construction is completed and everything has arrived, it's time to bring the full vision to life.
We'll liaise with the receiving warehouse to set up delivery for all the good stuff, print out all our measurements (so we know exaaactly how far of a distance goes between the couch and the wall (no "a little to the left" here), and completely manage install day.
We'll get everything measured, placed, and styled to perfection, set out our client gift and care guide, and prep for the big reveal. *Spoiler Alert: We'll probably be just as excited as you are.
