I cannot speak highly enough of Sensus for their assistance as my husband and I contemplated buying a bungalow and adding a second story addition. John-luke took the time to sit down and meet with us, something that most other contractors would not do until you booked with them, and walked us through how the process would work from start to finish. He was open, honest, and transparent and most importantly very responsive. When we found properties that were of interest to us, we would send them to him and he would provide us with a zoning analysis to see whether adding a second story was even feasible. John-Luke always followed up to see how our home search was going and whether he could be of any assistance. He provided detailed cost breakdowns so that there were no surprises and so that we knew exactly what we were signing up for if we chose to go that route. While in the end, my husband and I decided not to go the addition route due to the time requirement, I would recommend Sensus to anyone who is looking to do a major renovation or a Home addition just based on my interactions with them and their level of customer service. Their great customer service and commitment to their potential clients really sets them apart from most other contractors in the city. After meeting with this firm I walked away with a great understanding of the process of the renovation I was looking into. We believe we will contract their services because of the one-stop-shop that they are. They also seem like educated consultants who are able to be transparent and helpful in their approach. Sensus completed our last rental home and I am very happy to have been connected with them after numerous meetings with contractors who simply emailed me rough estimates or texted them to me. We are writing this review with a general adornment for the character of the principles of Sensus as both brothers and their sizeable staff were effective at managing our project to a timeline within 2 weeks of the originally anticipated date. Both of them worked continuously to make sure all of the loose ends were well accounted for and completed to a high standard as if it were their own home.

We both found their commitment surprising and can only chalk it up to a love for the business- but we wanted to give an honest and humble thank you for all of your great work on this platform. We hired Sensus for a complete redesign (gut job) of our 50+ year old 2 storey detached home.

Through our assessment of different vendors, we liked John Luke's energy/professionalism, his client portal (to manage all communications), his project management contract (to allow for competitive contractor bids and full transparency on all costs) and service (very responsiveness and attentive). Through the process, he was very collaborative, flexible, and supportive to get the best results. An example was his recommendation on how to have comfort in the foundation of our home through waterproofing the basement in a cost-effective manner.

We are six months into living in our home, and we are very happy with the end product. John Luke's continues to complete every little detail that comes up and remains committed to his 2 year warranty (which may be questionable with other contractors).

Needless to say, we had our challenges during the course of project - being new to this process, many things were quite stressful and alarming. John Luke worked diligently to address all matters in his own hands, without compromising the quality of our project. We hired Sensus Design for renovating our master bathroom, kitchen and flooring across the house. Johnluke was very responsive and he was accessible always during the renovation period. He accommodated our requirements and specifications and hired good trades for the kitchen and bathroom fittings. One factor that I would keep in mind is that they are very busy and you should have a more open time frame in case of delays. I am presently renovating my condo and was happy to work with John-Luke.

I had a particular colour in mind for my hardwood floors, and being a non-driver and unable to visit the various showrooms, John-Luke brought large planks of floor samples to my condo so I could see the different shades in the appropriate light. I was pleased with the final finished product.
