We provide therapy services to individuals and couples in need of support. Our vision is to help people live the lives they want, and to improve mental wellness. We work with residents of Ontario, providing virtual telehealth therapy services across the province to support clients in focusing on what’s important to them, and to offer different perspectives, to share a new lens on mental health.

I love working with people and providing support, compassion and empathy. Life can be very difficult and sometimes we just need some help coping with hard times and creating change to realize your goals.

The waitlists for public therapy agencies are ludicrous; people cannot simply put their mental health and wellbeing on hold while they wait months or years for services. I also noticed that many private therapy practices are operated by people with little to no experience in the field, and I believe that to be unethical. I started New Lens Therapy to place client wellbeing and ethical practice at the forefront, where I believe they belong.

I believe in the right to self-determination of clients, meet clients where they're at, and design and implement treatment plans with clients, ensuring that the client's priorities are guiding treatment. I enjoy working with clients who have mood concerns and life transitions they need support with (like pregnancy and retirement), and also with clients who don't necessarily have a pressing mental health concern but could just benefit from someone to talk to, someone to process emotions with, and someone to prioritize their mental wellness.

Yes, New Lens Therapy is a fully virtual online practice. I use Jane Practice, which is a software that meets the privacy requirements of PHIPA (Personal Health Information Protection Act) for both data storage and secure video platform.

I operate entirely virtually, ensuring that clients are protected from Covid-19, and can participate in therapy from the comfort and safety of their own home.

Services

Using a blend of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Client-Centred Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Dialectical Behaviour Therapeutic techniques, I provide one on one sessions to help you develop goals, process emotions, and work towards the life you want.
