I’m so happy that I’ve found My Sweet Cake Coquitlam! Just look at my son’s face when he saw the cake, and for me that’s more than enough to write an honest to goodness review. She is a self-taught baker and I admire her that she executed the custom cake very well! And the taste of the cake is just perfect, moist and not too sweet which the icing complimented the cake itself, just the way we liked it! I ordered a custom cake for a bachelorette party and she went above and beyond to make it have the details to look realistic and honestly speaking, it looks WAYYYY better than the photo I sent her - she did an amazing job! Had this cake made for my daughters 9th birthday. It was chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and it was absolutely one of the best tasting cakes I have ever eaten. Every one of the kids had two or three pieces and they were raving about it! And the adults that tried it were floored with the taste. I wanted the cake more for the looks but wow were we just so impressed with the AMAZING flavor and moist cake. We will be trying the other flavors for our next special occasion! The exterior of the cake turned out excellent but the flavor (paid extra for the chocolate bailey flavor) was very lackluster. Some friends said it dry with no flavor and some thought it was a carrot cake.. Maybe the cake was made a few days prior to the pick up date. Very disappointing since the cake was quite expensive for what it was and the reviewers were all so good. I recommend for people to do a tasting before ordering. More...
