Mark was great at our wedding last weekend. We met up before booking to talk about our wants. He had some great suggestions. Guests raved about how good the music was! A very nice variety. He even was on board to the fun music ideas we had that were non traditional. Mark even helped make an intermission less noticeable by getting the party started. Also Mark is very easy to contact! Helpful for a bride with questions. More...

What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
For me it's mixing the music based on the beat, what mixes well together, and not playing pre-selected sets... For instance, we don't like to play 5 songs of strictly 80s music, then 90s, then 2000's... if we jump around the spectrum your guests are never too far from the music they like.
Also it's important to be friendly, play requests (that are appropriate to the venue/event/guests) that keep the party going.
If we watch the crowd response; sometimes a song will clear the floor. We always have another song ready to go just in case.
I also don't like to play the same 15 songs that you hear at every event, we try to branch out and give people a unique musical experience.
Note that we don't rely on streaming music for an event; all of the music we carry is on our hard drives, so that we don't need to rely on spotty local wifi to deliver a great experience.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
Style... more radio than club. We mix like a club, but popular (current or older) songs that people know, speaking once in awhile, to ask for requests, dedicate songs, etc.
Mic work is more radio style, especially at a wedding; talking up a song to the post rather than the club style MC.
What do you love most about your job?
For weddings or any event, I enjoy playing music that the crowd loves, while working the background to make sure my end of things flows well, and doing my best to create a stress free experience for the newlywed couple or an event planner.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had DJed for several companies before branching out on my own. I enjoy the freedom, the ability to take the functions that I like, and to become a part of how the event unfolds, rather than just being there for the gig.
I always did great work working for other companies, but when you sell yourself, are there for the consultation, you know how things are supposed to go; it's a context and a thrill you don't get working from someone else's notes on a function.
Why should our clients choose you?
We are friendly, professional, and reliable. We know our music, and we are experienced. Just being around for 20+ years isn't enough though. Being able to MC an event as well as DJ, be not just competent, but funny and engaging, is a definite skill both of us have.
(Mark dabbles in comedy, Simon is a music teacher, and we both have radio experience)
Our prices are reasonable, we have a great attitude, and a boat load of music.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
We've experimented, and have found that the sound quality is often not there or the Zoom/Teams/etc signal drops out with music. I'm not happy enough with the performance to want to charge for this service.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We encourage clients to text their requests rather than come up to the table; we use microphone covers and wipe down the microphone after use between speeches.
Upon request, we can hold down your guests and vaccinate them.

DJ
Playing music, taking requests, and keeping the party going while we rock your house.
Karaoke
We offer karaoke services with a huge catalog, 40" monitor, and cordless microphones so you and your guests may unleash their inner "Idol".
Live Music
In addition to traditional DJ services, we also offer live music options. If you're considering:
- A jazz trio for cocktails/dinner
- String trio/quartet or classical guitarist for your wedding ceremony
- Any other live music options you're seeking, we can probably find the musician you envision being part of your special event (we have connections).
