Loved visiting Melange Salon & Spa! I've been wanting to find a new stylist for a while and I was lucky enough to get my hair cut & coloured from Jeff. He was extremely professional, took his time and offered advice on what would look good on me. During the entire process Jeff moved with confidence and ease making me feel comfortable in his chair. Overall he gave me one of the best color and cuts that I've had in a long time. Melange Salon & Spa has a great welcome package and referral program. For the welcome package I was able to receive a free deep condition treatment and 20% off products of I purchased the same day. I love this salon. I was 15 minutes late for a haircut and they were still able to fit me in, despite my tardyness (my own fault). Sarah cuts my hair; I've had so many compliments on the cut since she did it (I went from waist-length to a chin-length bob, so it was quite a dramatic cut, easy to screw up!)Reception is always friendly and ready with an offer of water, tea or coffee and I've never waited more than 5 minutes before being seated in the chair. Everyone was so friendly when I walked in. I was offered a beverage, and relaxed in the lounge until my appointment. Jessica was phenomenal with my facial treatments and hand massage. I haven't felt this relaxed in some time. She made me feel so important and pampered. I then enjoyed a fantastic haircut with Angie the owner afterwards. I found Melange Salon & Spa through Yelp, and as someone conscious of my environmental impact, was immediately drawn by the eco-salon concept (and the added bonus of being able to book online). I was able to book a same-day appointment for a cut with Coral. A little nervous to be trying a new salon, I walked in to a friendly greeting and offer of something to drink. The salon itself has a very welcoming, friendly, and down-to-earth vibe. You know those salons that, just by the way they look, make you feel like you're not cool enough to be there? This isn't one of them. The shelves are *stocked* with Kevin Murphy (cruelty-free!) and there's a great view of a pond and trees outside the windows. Coral was professional, friendly and a good conversationalist. The apprentice, Sarah, who washed my hair and gave me a scalp massage, was also lovely. No awkward small-talk here. I relaxed even more when Coral explained the difference between several similar but slightly different short cuts I was contemplating - clearly, I was in good hands. The cut itself took about an hour, and was *exactly* what I envisioned. I left the salon feeling incredible, with healthier, bouncier hair. Having had a nightmare experience in the past, where a seemingly good cut turned out to be incredibly botched but hidden by strategic styling, I always test new cuts with the at-home blow dry test before giving a stylist a 100% thumbs up. Coral's cut passed with flying colours - she took a cue from what my hair does naturally, as well as its thickness, and cut it in a way that makes it look fantastic even prior to styling. Melange is definitely my new place, and I look forward to my next visit! More...

Jill cut my hair today.  She styled it very nicely. Staff is very friendly.  I just wish the Salon was easier to find.  Perhaps clients should be given better directions prior to coming.

Was here yesterday for a pedicure. The pedicure itself was great with Jessica, she was chatty and fun and did an excellent job with my feet. The 4*s is because there was a lot of salon noise even though we were in another room and it was hard to totally relax. There was calming music playing and I could barely hear it. So quality of pedicure is 5*s but ambiance is only 4*s. More...

I rarely give 5 stars so you know this place knocked it out of the park. They squeezed me in for a hair cut which I love love love. Fabulous service. The products they use are natural. A nice change from the chemical types most salons use. The place is a bit small and the stations are close together. Would be nice to have more separation as it can get noisy with everyone chatting and hair dryers going. Otherwise it was fabulous. I think I found my new hair salon! More...

I have been going to Melange for over a year now and am very pleased with this salon! Christina does my cut and color, and she does a beautiful job. I have long blond hair, and I'm thrilled to say she's never given me leapard spots, or "bleed through" spots when doing low lights and highlights. I have been coming here for a while now. I have extremely thick hair, and this is the only place I have found in Edmonton that actually knows how to cut and show me how to reproduce the style without my hair looking like a mushroom.
