We had the Valentines dinner special. The beef Wellington and chocolate covered strawberries were fantastic as well as the rest of the meal. The next weekend we got one of their cheesecakes and it was delicious, exactly as cheesecake should be but with a buttercream edging along the top. We also got their brownies and they were decadent. Went in to support local and see what they had walked out with a dozen cupcakes and oatmeal raisin cookie. My daughter ate the cookie in 2 min or less. Went to the grand opening today. Found the staff to be extremely friendly. Atmosphere was fresh and inviting.comfortable place to sit in and eat. They had wonderful do it yourself kit for cookies great for the children and their lovely homemade jars of DYi cookies and brownies. They had homemade cakes biscuits cookies squares cupcakes etc and we’re doing a brisk business. Had potato and leek soup it was absolutely to die for so so good and a hot chocolate which wasn’t so good as it was lukewarm and had to get them to put it in the microwave.A suggestion for them to get rid of the coffee urns that supply the hot water for the hot chocolate in Tea as they do not keep the water hot enough and getSomething else even a kettle is far better than those coffee urns. Otherwise than that it is a really nice place to go and sit and have a dessert or lunch with a drink so nice to have something downtown like this instead of always going to Tim Hortons. Seniors will like this to be able to come in and have a treat and a drink. Highly recommend this place will go back again. More...

We had the absolute pleasure of having Tasteful Trends Cafe & Cakery cater our wedding. Cassandra Fay McMaster and Jesse Luther McMaster were amazing to work with. They helped us create and customize our wedding menu - even tailoring it last minute without any hesitation. We heard nothing but amazing things from our guests and even the picky eaters (aka children) that were there! The cake was amazing and beautiful as well! Cassandra Fay McMaster and Jesse Luther McMaster went above and beyond, helping to set up and clean, coordinate with the hall and provided us with a cake taste test prior to the day. What’s your signature dish?
Custom Cakes, Cupcakes and Cheesecakes. We love trying all kinds of new flavours. We have our signature recipes that are easily interchangeable to suit everyone's wants.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
We find out what their budgets is and the types of food they would really love to have. Then we prepare a few menu options for them to choose from, matching their wants and needs.
What do you love most about your job?
We love how it is ever growing and changing. There is so much you can do with food and we love how every customer offers a different experience. We especially love when everything comes together and the customer is amazed and hopefully recieved more than they imagined!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Both if us grew up in a culinary family. Whether it was family cooking at home or working in the industry. We loved experimenting and trying new recipes with family and creating our own.
