We recently completed a full scale house renovation with MBC Homes and are now living in our dream home!
It wasn't an easy process determining which contractor to go with and we certainly didn't take it lightly. We did our due diligence with following up with references, etc. however we are certain now that all is said and done that we made the right choice with MBC Homes!
Max was a thoughtful partner throughout the entire reno, providing helpful suggestions or design alterations along the way, all while keeping our timeline and budget top of mind.
Quality work is MBC Homes' top concern. If a sub-contractor didn't perform up to their expectations, they would call them back to ameliorate the issue until they were satisfied.
I would recommend MBC Homes without any reservations. They did an exceptional job!

We used MBC Homes for our construction project, after considering other contractors, for our old home renovation. They were professional, giving their expert opinions and ideas to us, so we could consider our options. In doing this, they did not try to up-sell us, rather, advised against some work that did not make sense in the circumstances, which was impressive. We were very happy with the quality of work and service MBC provided and are enjoying all the improvements! I had never done a renovation before, but as soon as Max walked in he made me comfortable with the process. He explained not just what could and couldn’t be done but why something couldn’t be done and offered an alternative. The entire team, from the demolition crew, to the plumbing guys, tiler and painter and finisher were efficient, and hard working. They cleaned up every night before they left. Working with MBC has been phenomenal, the best I have had with any contractor in the three major jobs I've done (including 2 basement full renos and a deck to enclosed mudroom conversion). We did a top floor bathroom reno with seamless/curbless shower with floor to ceiling tiles. The reno included reframing and reroofing the bathroom section, as the roof was sloped, so we built a dormer for the bathroom to get full ceiling height. Max and team operate on the most accelerated schedule of any group I've dealt with, and the pace has been faster than expected given issues we inevitably ran into in a 120 year old house. They have exceptional design sense and amazing ability to adapt plans with the engineer to get the work done. I've referred them and told associates that I would not work with another firm other than MBC for another major interior renovation given their affordability and versatility in dealing with older structures. MBC are professionals and good quality work. After hearing of stories from other people on how hard it was for them. Not with us, we highly recommend MBC.

We just finished a main floor /kitchen renovation with MBC and could not have been happier with the results.
More importantly, Max and his team were helpful, professional, and finished the job early! Not everything went as planned but when things went sideways, Max was there to help fix it, or work with us to achieve our goals. We had hired a previous GC that ended poorly- we are so lucky Max could work with us to correct those mistakes. Our main floor is easily the nicest part of our house! My pictures are terrible, mainly because we have not finished unpacking-suffice to say, the kitchen is gorgeous. Special shout out to the electrician, stair guy and painter- they were fantastic for making last minute changes and suggestions we had not thought about- just like Max actually! If you are looking to do any size renovation or construction with an aim toward quality and value, you should consider MBC Homes. They may not be the cheapest but they will be the best.
