I feel so lucky to have met Hanadi and Little Leah’s Kitchen ~ the semi naked decadent chocolate cake, the white chocolate macarons, mini fig & strawberry fruit tarts with the home made strawberry jam, mini donuts with the citrus glaze and star shaped sable cookies prepared for my baby shower were each a masterpiece! I meet so many INCREDIBLE people through the nature of my work and I'm truly grateful for everyone whose path crosses with mine but sometimes there's a special connection, one that I know will be long lasting and influential on my journey. Hanadi from Little Leah's Kitchen is one of them. Not only is she one of the most creative and talented people I've worked with, she's all heart. Her business grew out of the necessity to care for her daughter as a single mom. Loved loved loved the batman cake and cupcakes that were not only stunningly detailed but absolutely delicious. The icing was creamy smooth and rich and the cake fresh and moist! Not only was this cake stunning on the outside, and when I say stunning, i mean it was a piece of art, but it was also delicious on the inside! I was a little apprehensive to purchase a cake outside of a bakery, as I've had previous opportunities to taste "catered" cakes that looked very nice on the outside but tasted like boxed cake with Dunkin Hines icing. However I was pleased to see that little Leah's kitchen was far from that. The cake was moist and the filling was absolutely delicious! Let me tell you all my guests asked for seconds! The exterior was truly a piece of art. Words can't even describe it! I have never seen so much meticulous detail on a cake. The leaves of the tree where multi colour, the branches with details to truly depict the details of a natural tree, The multicoloured train track looked real. There was a custom made number 2 lollipop to add to the cake. I was honestly in awe! I have finally found a place to purchase pretty and tasty cakes!
