About

Life can be hard, so I try to make therapy easy.

If you’re overwhelmed or stuck, or you’ve lost something precious, I can help. If your feelings are too intense, or you don’t even know what you’re feeling anymore, I can walk you through that fog.

Q&As

People are endlessly fascinating, and I am inspired by their desire to struggle through rough times and grow toward the light. This work gives me a front row seat and lets me help people when they think they’re at their worst.

I’ve worked for institutions and corporations before, and eventually learned that they all have agendas that don’t put their clients first. In my private practice I get to do just that.

I have an ability to connect with people when they’re struggling. I have learned firsthand that people need to be given respect and offered trust. Otherwise they won’t respect what I have to offer, or trust anything I tell them.

During the height of the pandemic I was forced to use phone and video for therapy. I was surprised at how effective those modes can be. I use telephone, FaceTime, and Google Meet for secure, comfortable, convenient counselling sessions.

I keep disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer in my office. I have a couple of meters between our seats. I will wear a mask if that makes you more comfortable.

Services

They tell us that challenges are also opportunities—but they don’t usually feel like that. Sometimes all you need is someone to listen and provide perspectives and tools to turn your difficult times into chances for positive change.

Our brains develop as we grow, and young people’s brains can seem like another planet if we don’t understand them. I have years of training and experience helping kids work through tough times. I include the parents as much as I can, and improve everybody’s situation.

In case you’re wondering, NO, you’re not the only person going through more stress than ever before. Welcome to the world of the 2020’s. Thank goodness there are healthy ways to manage stress and anxiety. I can help you with tools and new habits. The sun will, indeed, come out from behind those clouds.
