We reached out to IRL to design drawings for our kitchen renovation. Ivanka helped transform it from a dingy, outdated kitchen to a bright modern one with her kitchen design which was impressive because it is a galley kitchen. The space is more functional and stylish with the cupboard finishes, tiles and paint colours she chose as well. She is really easy going and a delight to work with. What’s your interior design process?
Its important to meet my client, in their home, to get a sense of their style and how they live. We discuss their style, wants, needs and take measurements. We then begin a customized design process.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
We cater to all design styles as we design to suit the clients tastes and budget.
What do you love most about your job?
It brings me great joy to reinventing an existing space. I also love the opportuntiy to use new finishes, furniture and materials. Then, to see it all come together.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After years of experience with other design firms, I knew I had the skills and talent to open a company and begin working with my own clients.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Wearing a mask always during site visits. Working from our home office, away from other people. Although not shaking hands with new clients and trades has been awkward, we have fun figuring out new ways to welcome one another. With a wave, a laugh or an air high five!
ARCHITECTURAL & SPACE PLANNING
Design drawings and space planning. Where we figure out s good furniture plan to assist in selecting pieces that are the correct use for your space. We also do detailed partition plans for renovations such as basements, main floor and kitchen renovations.
AS-BUILT DRAWINGS FOR RENOVATIONS
We will come and measure your existing space, as is, in order to begin to prepare new drawings for your renovation.
CUSTOM KITCHENS AND BATHROOM DESIGNS
We will take a site measure, notes and develop detailed plans and millwork drawings that your contractor and millworker can both price from and build.
ELECTRICAL AND POWER PLANS
We will supply detailed lighting and electrical plan drawings with notes and dimensions for your electrician to price from and supply and install electrical items. We coordinate your lighting and electrical with your furniture and millwork layouts.
FINISHES & FIXTURES SPECIFICATIONS
We will source your hard finishes like flooring, tiles & countertops for you. Assist in the selection of cabinet style, hardware, appliances & plumbing fixtures. Choose paint colours, select furniture items, window coverings and accessories to complete your space.
