I provide strength-based, ecologically focused support while utilizing a variety of approaches, including Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-based Counselling, and Rational Emotive Therapy.

It would be my honour to walk alongside you!

Most of us are driven by a need for contentment. But life happens. And when life happens, the majority of us adjust, compromise, and sacrifice. We tell ourselves that we have accepted the situation, yet we continue to experience discontentment. Why is that?
The truth is, very few of us are actually able to fully accept situations and events that we never asked for; we pick up, we move on, but we do not truly accept with our mind, body, and soul.
If all this resonates with you, then let me introduce you to Radical Acceptance. Let’s move together through acknowledgment, realization, and regaining control.

"Happiness can exist only in acceptance." ~ George Orwell

Do you have big plans but never seem to get there? Do you have hopes and dreams but don’t know where to start? Do you find yourself setting goals but lack the time and energy to follow through?
Let me help you get there! By working through the art of proper goal setting, prioritization, and time management, we can all achieve what we set out to be!

"A goal without a plan is just a wish." ~ Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

We will grieve many times in our lives, and not only when we experience the death of a beloved person or pet – we grieve the loss of relationships, the dissolution of hopes and dreams, and the end of those fulfilling aspects of life that define us, such as our career. We can experience feelings of grief even when we are the ones that choose to end or leave these things; and sometimes, we don’t even realize that we might need to grieve.
So, let’s talk about it. Let us explore your experiences and examine how grief may be impacting your life. Let me walk with you on your healing journey and support you in moving through these difficult, sometimes conflicting, feelings.

"The only cure for grief is to grieve." ~ Earl Grollman

We all have patterns of relating to others that are deep-seated and often completely unconscious; and sometimes these patterns can hold us back from experiencing truly healthy relationships.
Relationships may be defined in different ways, but healthy relationships all depend on a few key elements: healthy communication, healthy boundaries, and mutual respect and support. While we all do unhealthy things sometimes, we can all learn to relate better by recognizing unhealthy signs and shifting to healthy behaviours.
Let me support you in examining the thoughts and beliefs that underpin your patterns, and guide you through adopting new, more effective, behaviours.

"My primary relationship is with myself; all others are mirrors of it." ~ Shakti Gawain

One of the greatest sources of disenfranchised grief is pet loss. In our society, the loss of a pet is often considered less important than other significant losses. This can leave those grieving the loss of a pet feeling alone with their despair or foolish and embarrassed for feeling their loss so intensely.

Research on the human-animal bond shows that the love we share with our pets is one of the only true experiences of unconditional love; these relationships are genuine and uncomplicated. It's no wonder some people feel a deeper connection to their pets than they do to the people in their lives.

Let us explore this connect while you process the grief you are feeling in a safe, non-judgmental space. Completing a legacy project is also available.

"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." ~ Winnie The Pooh

Many of us care so deeply for the people in our lives that we spend hours and energy doing for them while neglecting ourselves. When we have a lot on our plate, it is easy to justify not taking time for ourselves; in fact, many of us even feel guilty or selfish at the notion of a little me-time. But as they say, you can’t pour from an empty cup.
Research shows that when we neglect ourselves, we can suffer burnout and compassion fatigue. Let’s explore the importance of self-care, setting healthy boundaries, and all of the difficult feelings that might come along with those. Let us devise a reasonable plan for protection from burnout and learn to feel comfortable with prioritizing self-care.

We will examine the ways in which stress impacts your life and identify tools to manage it. Stress energy can be leveraged, and this is an opportunity to learn about the impact of stress on the mind, body, and spirit, and to create strategies to funnel the energy into positive changes and resiliency.
Tools can include action plans, journaling, meditation, mindfulness practice and breathwork to gain direction, insight and self-care.

"Stress is not what happens to us; it's our response to what happens. And response is something we can choose." ~ Maureen Killoran
