If I could give 1000 stars I would - Hospice Simcoe was there for my entire family including my precious Dad who passed away there this February. The gentleness, kindness, understanding of all those who serve there, from the volunteers, to the administration - it is an amazing place....this is a need that we certainly didn't realize that needed to be filled - and Hospice Simcoe fills it beautifully. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this facility and its staff is. My mum just passed away last night, and they made her last couple of days on this earth so much more peaceful. The staff treated my mum and myself with such kindness, compassion, and respect. Also, the beautiful grounds, and home like surroundings, including comfy bedding, helped to relax my mum during the transition, along with me so that I could be calmer and there for mum when she needed me most. If my mum’s death had to happen somewhere I am extremely grateful that it was at Hospice Simcoe, rather than in a cold, clinical hospital room. Thank you so much to all of the staff, volunteers, and fundraisers who make this place possible. I will certainly be donating to this cause going forward! More...

Words just don't seem to be enough. I'm proud to have been part of this family for a few years. Oh my goodness where to start.... I brought my brother in last last Tuesday the staff welcomed us they were truly amazing made my brother so comfortable and making sure we were okay letting us stay with him for the week he was there I’ve been anywhere that made me feel the way I did about hospice. ... garret went above and beyond for robert he loves his bob Marley and garret sang to him a few times in his room... then last night we lost my brother and today we did the walk of life oh my goodness how special that was again garret sang till we headed outside to the hurse nurses and garret and other staff out side waiting with us it was truly amazing thank you for making us feel at home hospice you made this sad time much easier on us all the wounderful hugs and support was greatly appreciated thanks again hospice � More...

Being In hospice with my mother , saved us as a family . I finally was a daughter , a mother to my children , and could sleep better at night knowing she was checked constantly . The funny part was my mother loved humming birds and they are like the mascot of barrie Simcoe hospice :) , everything was like it was meant to be . A dream I had was to plan and host my parents renewing their vows which I was able to achieve she then later passed a day later :( but the love we all felt in those moments were so amazing , we had amazing support and help by the hospice staff . There are not enough words to express my gratitude for what you did for my family. You allowed me to be a wife instead of a weary caregiver to my husband for the last week of his life. Hospice Simcoe has made this part of my mother's life easier on her, most importantly and also on us, her family. They care for the person as a whole being. Every person. The compassion is incredible. Their capacity to do what they do 24 hours a day amazes me.
