Mirella was wonderful with communication and understanding what I was looking for. She even sent me a mock up of what the slab would look like prior to confirming the order for the retirement cake.
The cake was a true hit! She incorporated all the hobbies and interests with cute eatable fondant and icing.
The cake itself tasted fantastic. One person declined a piece but everyone was raving about it, he came and took a piece.

What do you love most about your job?
I love everything about my job? wait?, job? no I can't even call it that. It's a passion for me. I love the baking aspect and love and I mean love the decorating part of it. The fine detailing but the best and I mean best part is really the reaction people get when they see their final product. That IS Priceless.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Honestly it was my family inspired me. They always told me I had talent but honestly never really knew I did but here I am doing what I love. This isn't a job, I feel I got lucky because not a lot of people can honestly say they love what they do. I started off just baking and cake decorating for friends and family.
Why should our clients choose you?
I personally take the time to work with everyone's budgets and getting to know the person or couple as a friend, their likes and dislikes. I understand how important these special occasions are. I become a friend more than just a baker-cake decorator. I bake my cakes and decorate them to personalize each individual.

I provide both. I can email and discuss finer details through emails or phone calls and even do video conferencing. I can also take payments through e-transfer. We can work something out.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Since this covid-19, lots of changes had to happen. I've done video conferencing to discuss designs, payments and other information about the order. I take E-transfer for payments and curbside pick up and delivery with of course social distancing.

At For The Love of Cakes, we can provide the perfect celebration for wedding cakes, birthday cakes and more.
Wedding cakes and celebration cakes can be made in traditional rich fruitcake, or a variety of flavors sponges, including chocolate fudge cake, luxury carrot cake, vanilla sponge, lemon and almond cake, or coffee and walnut cake. Other flavours are available at your request
