Hallelujah, I'm so glad that Faye and her team are up and running in a new space in Gastown! I wanted to give myself a birthday gift (I haven't done anything 'non-essential' for myself - it was time) of some Yumi lashes, so I booked Beatrice - and what a treasure she is. I felt completely comfortable trusting my eyeballs to her! She's so experienced (trained in Italy, hello) as a hair and makeup artist and beautician, but more importantly she was just lovely to spend time with for the hour+. It's important!!I had only seen Faye before, but it seems that she has pulled together a great cosmopolitan team. Very happy, no hesitation in recommending this place. I was lucky to get Faye herself to do my big day. Faye was amazing for both my mom and myself for our makeup and hair. She had the best suggestions for our features, and to go with all colours. We learned that Faye helps many others in the make up profession to find jobs and she has so many endeavours she is pursuing at the same time as planning out her own life!! Faye has a very good following and I trust she is one of the best to help find your best 'look' and suggestions for your event. Definitely recommend her. Love! Love! Loved working with Faye today! We started the makeup and hair session in her absolutely adorable studio (I wish I took pictures to share! ). We decided to start natural and adjust accordingly with the outfits from the maternity shoot. Faye came with me on site and helped keep me looking fresh. Enjoyed having her throughout the entire day. Great energy and great vibes! Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to have their hair and makeup done. I'll share my look by the time we were done with the shoot but don't judge, I'm not photogenic and I was trying to get my little pooch in the photo without dropping the phone. More...

I just left a review for Primp & Proper but I want to restate it here. Even though Faye wasn't my makeup artist.What a great place this is to get your hair & makeup done! I for the first time ever (!!!!) "Allowed" someone other than myself to do my make-up and may I just say it was perfect? I had Beatrice as my make-up artist, who was LOVELY and professional. She truly understood what look I was after and performed at 100% to create the look. For my hairdo, I showed her a picture and she did the EXACT same hairstyle for which I received Soooo many compliments. Faye provided hair and make-up for me and my mother. We couldn’t have been happier with the results, she did an excellent job! She was very friendly and made me feel comfortable from the very first meeting. She was very responsive and even asked for some photos to give her an idea of my wedding inspiration. At my trial, she listened to my needs and made sure she gave me the natural look I was looking for. Faye has a wonderful eye for color, respectfully listens to your requests, and moves throughout the getting-ready process with a calm, stress-free attitude. I can’t recommend her enough, she is so talented and you can tell she really loves what she does. I felt like me on my wedding day. My hair and makeup were flawless and lasted throughout the day and all evening. Her passion really reflected in her work and certainly did not disappoint. Faye & her team are wonderful. They took myself, my three bridesmaids and my mom under their wing and made us all feel beautiful for my wedding this last weekend. None of us generally wear a lot of makeup, and the team ensured that we all felt comfortable in our looks, but also ensured that we were wearing enough to make us look and feel special (and be photo ready!). Faye and her team were absolutely amazing. I chose Faye based on other peoples great reviews and her winning Best Hair for the BC Wedding Awards. I took a chance and booked her without a trial prior to placing the deposit and I am so glad that I did. I eventually did go for a trial, even after having to cancel and reschedule Faye was very understand and accommodating. At the trial Faye did such an amazing job, I didn't want to wash the make up off when I was done!! She was super friendly during the entire trial and booking process. Leading up to my wedding Faye and her team kept in touch and kept me updated on travel plans (I was outside the lower mainland) and wedding day schedule. On the day of my wedding, Faye arrived exactly when she said she would bringing 2 other girls Kym and Jackie, who were both amazing!! I even decided to change my hair slightly and Faye accommodated that change so everything was exactly how I wanted it to be. Faye and her team looked after 4 bridesmaids and 2 mothers. They worked as a team to get everyone done well before it was time to walk down the aisle. Everyone looked exactly how they wanted to, and if someone wanted to make a slight change even after they were done then the change was done. Everyone looked beautiful, the transformations were amazing. Faye and her team did an amazing job!! I hope one day I can use Faye again. Faye did a fabulous job on my hair and makeup for my wedding. I had to call her 4 weeks before my appointment to let her know that I may not be able to make it due to a potential emergency - she was so accommodating and assured me she would do everything she could to fit me in on the date I needed. Fortunately, I didn't need to change the appointment but the fact that she reassured me was wonderful. As soon as I walked in the studio, I felt at ease (it is gorgeous in there).
