What’s your interior design process?
Are design process involves providing concept design to detailed design to permit drawings to construction review/completion. We start with an initial consult and extensive intake questionnaires. We use the concept design phase to present a variety of options to better learn what our clients want and then narrow it down to their perfect plan. We work similarly in the detailed design of the kitchen, bathrooms, stairs etc. while also completing permit drawings and construction review.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
We actually design in our clients design style. Part of our design process is learning, or in some cases helping our clients discover their design style.
What do you love most about your job?
Being able to get to know people and then create spaces that make them happy; whether it is to have that cup of coffee and stare out the water, to feel calm and organized because everything has its place, or just to smile at the quirky things that make your home feel like a home. I love that each house is unique to each individual client. And I love the process in figuring out what a dream home means for each client.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had been working on a variety of mostly high rise apartments, social housing and commercial projects at my last architectural firm. We had a client come in for renovation and addition of a heritage home. And working with them in creating their dream home (they had been dreaming of buying and renovating this house for 30 plus years), it reminded me how much more fulfilling it is to work with homeowners. So I started Fabricae to be able to focus on renovations, additions and new build homes.

Client's should choose us if they want someone to be committed to understanding and discovering what they want in a home. Our process is very client-centric in both how our designs evolve out of our clients wants and aesthetic but also in providing support system to help them through the overwhelming process of building/renovating.

Yes. We provided most of our services remotely during covid and still do for some of our more vulnerable clients on request.
