Eric you were a Gem❤️ Myself and my husband have never done a Google review, however you were SSSSOOO outstanding we made darn sure how to figure it out. !!!! We can’t thank you enough for capturing the moments we will be able to forever look back on. Eric Draht is an OUTSTANDING photographer! I don't think I have ever done a google review in my life but I had to get on here and spread the word! If you are looking for breathtaking, emotional, artistic, out of the box wedding photos he is your man! We was so full of energy and ideas and made everyone feel so comfortable! He arrived days before our wedding to put in many hours scouting out the area and planning the shoot. The locations he picked were gorgeous! He was with us shooting for well over the time most photographers would stay. He made sure to capture everything from our special day and didn't even try and charge extra for how long he stayed! We are so thankful for Eric and we can't thank him enough for the memories we will have forever. We have had so many people asking for his contact information after seeing our photos. We have been lucky enough to have Eric do both our engagement photos and our wedding photos, both are absolutely amazing. The photo's Eric takes have so much feeling and emotion, they are just breathtaking . Eric has a very calming personality and knows what to say to people to get them to relax for photos. If we were rushed or on a time crunch I never noticed because Eric was totally at ease taking all the pictures and never rushed us along like you hear some photographers doing. Eric is extremely committed to his photography, our engagement photos were in a downpour and he never once complained about the rain, he was even laying down on the ground in the rain and mud so he could get the right angle for some of our photos. At our wedding he had the same commitment, hiking through the woods, ignoring the wind and rain on the beach. Okay where to even start. Eric single handedly made our wedding the best day of our lives. This man is way more than a photographer, he consistently helped fix my veil, did up buttons on my dress that were forgotten, kept the ball rolling, told us how to pose to get what he needed, made us laugh & was extremely respectful . He is an absolute artist, his photos are mind bogglingly beautiful. Like I never knew wedding photos could even look like this. Where do I begin? Eric is AMAZING!!! He has such a positive attitude and true passion for weddings and photography. He spent time before our wedding scouting out the best locations for our group shots and our sneak away sunset photos. Our guests loved him too and he made it a point to capture photos of everyone. We hired Eric to capture our three day long wedding, and our experience with Draht Photography was amazing. The pictures we got back from the weekend were just gorgeous. He is so creative with the space around him, and the pictures we got back were sensational! He even used smoke bombs and special effects to give our pictures a special edge, and we were so impressed with the portfolio of candid photographs that he created for us. He also provided us the entire album so quickly! He put out a teaser post (with about 60 pictures) within less than a week and gave us the full portfolio of pictures (approximately 4000 photos) in less than a month! We were also so impressed about how flexible Eric was. It was an East Indian wedding that didn't fit the regular schedules and timelines and he was very understanding of this (i.e. didn't make a big deal if we went over or under on timing for specific events, etc). We also had numerous guests tell us (during and after the wedding) that Eric was so great to work with. He was pleasant, fun loving, and created a really enjoyable atmosphere for our family and friends. He was always more than willing to put down his camera for a moment and take some pictures on people's camera phones, which was very much appreciated!! So thank you, Draht Photography! Eric took the most beautiful photos of our wedding!!! Ive only seen the sneak peak (which was sent to us by midnight the day of our wedding! ) and now I CANNOT wait to see the rest of the photos! We had such a great time with Eric -he made those that were uncomfortable with getting their photos taken at ease. From start to finish, our experience with Eric was incredible. My name is Ashton. My wife Erin and I had originally requested for Eric to photograph our wedding on July 8. We both fell in love with his work immediately, and decided to put a deposit down for that date. Due to an unforeseen circumstance and a few time restraints, it was necessary for us to move up the wedding to December 30th... this was less that 3 weeks notice. Eric did not even hesitate to change around his personal schedule to accommodate us, saying that he was willing to do anything to make this work for us. On the big day, Eric was everywhere at once. He started at 1 pm at the hair studio, and did not let up until around 9, with camera in hand, ready to capture every special moment. Before the ceremony, he spent a lot of his time outside in the snow, looking for any interesting spots to take a photo. Through dinner, he never missed a beat, finding himself ready at every moment we needed him. We have to give him some credit for our day running so smoothly because he even helped out with things that had nothing to do with photography.He went above and beyond any and all expectations Erin and I had set in our own minds, and any of our family's as well. Almost a week later, our family and other guests are still in awe of the samples we have seen, and have commented on how personable he was with everyone and how great he was with all of the kids. Eric really made our day for our wedding just a few weeks ago. He was present from early in the morning until late into the night, and his delightful personality and sense of humor really contributed to our day! ! He had creative and fun ideas all day for photos, I was truly blown away by his passion and expertise!We received our wedding pictures WITHIN two weeks which is unbelievably quick! He also sent the photos in a beautiful, easy-to-share album and sent easily double the amount of pictures we thought we would be getting. Eric and his team were truly amazing to work with. I live out of the province and booked Eric based on his website. This ended up being one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. From start to finish he offered words of wisdom from experiences he has had with other weddings. From timeline, when to get dressed, and where to go for pictures. He would stop to show us a few photos on his camera as we took pictures and would explain the techniques and what he was doing to create a beautiful photo. Not only did my bridal party have an absolute blast with him, he captured the natural and fun moments as well as gave guidance in how to pose to get the best angles. I don't even know where to start. We are from the lower mainland with plans wed in Lake Country so 10 months before the wedding I started the daunting task of finding vendors. From hair, to makeup and of course the one thing to help you remember the blur of a day...the photographer. I stumbled upon Eric's website and was taken a back. His style was unlike anything we had every seen. No staged, fake or forced looking photos. If his gallery was indication of what to expect, we were fairly confident that he would be the one. We were extremely fortunate to have our wedding held at Ex Nihilo Vineyards. (Spectacular stop if you are in Lake Country).
