Hi! I'm... BOO!
I'm new to Bark, but not to DJing. I'm an old school (and just plain old) DJ with over 30 years experience. I love music, I love dancing, and I love people - so DJing brings it all together.
GOOD NEWS: I have a fantastic sound system plus the best music around today and yesterday.

What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Observation and Empathy. Good DJs come with good music. Great DJs observe and empathize with the people they come to serve. DJing is not so much a performance but more of a responsive dance with, well, the dancers!
How would you describe your ‘style’?
Fun! I am in love with good dance music from all decades and backgrounds. Personally, I lean toward First Wave classics and artistic remixes. I love playing what is familiar, and also introducing audiences to new music I've discovered. Like introducing two friends you love to one another and just knowing they're going to get along famously. So good!
What do you love most about your job?
People! DJing allows me to get to know a wide variety of people, to work with them behind the scenes, and to enjoy them enjoying the music I share. This job allows me to practice basic other-centredness and serve people as they celebrate.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I grew up with music. As a teenager I started making mixtapes for my friends and family. Music gave our emotions and ideas a soundtrack and inspired our imaginations. Then I started hosting house-parties, bringing all kinds of people together, and DJing as a hobby wherever I could. Now I'm turning this longstanding hobby into a career, and loving it.
Why should our clients choose you?
1. I love music.
2. I love people.
3. I love bringing music and people together.
4. I have a super sound system.
5. I have an amazing music collection.
6. I have the skill to make #1-5 meaningful.
7. And I'm a pleasant cross between a hippy and a hobo with a side order of Santa, and who wouldn't love that.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
DJing is an in person thing baby. I would be happy to pre-mix some tunes in advance for anyone, but there's nothing like the responsive experience of a live DJ.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I stopped. Completely. I am just rebooting my DJ service after a few year away, and respectfully maintaining appropriate distances.
