What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked with my father as a child and fell in love with construction. building homes and creating safe places for people to live brings us great joy and we love working with interesting and motivated people.

Column and Joist started off as a structural build company, so our roots are in building the core and foundations of buildings. The structural part of a build is the key to a well-built project, and this is what we specialize in for our clients and also other builders. We have over 30 years of industry experience and are in this industry because we love it, this is not a job for us, it a passion.
