What’s your interior design process?
We’ve had our discovery calls. Great, we’re the perfect fit! Then comes the Conceptual Design.
Phase 1: Conceptual Design
This is where you share your design style. You want to be part of the process, so this is where you get to really share your thoughts. If you’re unsure what you want, the team and I are full of ideas. We’ll help you get clear on what you want. And just as importantly, what you don’t want.
This is where we confirm your scope, layout and style (including fabrics because it’s got to feel as good as it looks) to guarantee your home is an extension of your personality. It’s where we consider if there’s going to be any minor construction. Then based on the discussions we share initial concepts and a specific selection of curated ideas that are tailored to your likes, goals and any furniture or art we might be working with.
Phase 2: Detailed Design
Detailed design is about transforming ideas into action. It’s where your dream home starts to be realized. Here we gather samples, choose the individual pieces that’ll become part of your home…
Does your fireplace need a redesign? How many shelves do you need? This is where it all happens.
Naturally, everything we’re looking at is signed off by you before we start purchasing anything.
Phase 3: Execution
Any construction, wallpaper/painting, drapery installation, positioning rugs, furniture, and styling … It’s the in-the-trenches part of the design process. I think it’s the fun part!
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
In past we have worked with people who love colour, people who like monochromatic design, modern design and traditional. All design choices are obtainable, but what we do best is bring in texture and layer materials. Regardless of your love/hate relationship with colour – the devil is in the detail and that’s where we come in!
What do you love most about your job?
As cliche as it sounds – we love to meet people and get to know what makes them tick. When you have beautiful surrounding, you are comfortable, and your mind is calm. It brings joy knowing that what we do can have an impact!
What inspired you to start your own business?
After 13 years as a Corporate Real Estate Project Manager at a nationwide entertainment company, it was time to flex my creative muscle and follow a path that was long pushed to the side.
