Black Water Homes

We could not be happier with the experience of working with Blackwater Homes. All of the construction and finishing was top notch. Our project was the interior finishing of 4 new build industrial condo units for outfitting as an auto parts store. This entailed construction of 3 offices, a lunchroom/boardroom the retail space as well as 5 bathrooms (including 1 accessible). All electrical, lighting, and sprinklers and racking and a very extensive mezzanine. This project took place under the difficult conditions of the covid-19 uncertainties, shutdowns, and shortages. Derek managed the whole project and kept everything moving under trying circumstances. Derek provided suggestions to improve the end result and provide savings where possible. Derek is by far the best contractor we have ever had the pleasure of working with. He shows up everyday ready to work right up until the job is done.
He helped us turn our home into our forever dream home. We moved into our new house with two young children and a dog and Derek started work almost immediately after we moved in. Derek made living through renovations a breeze, always keeping everything in the worksite organized, tidy and clean.
He completely renovated and expanded our existing bathroom, renovated our master bedroom creating a gorgeous feature wall and turned our 4th bedroom into a walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom. Derek was flexible along the way even when we changed our minds about the design partway through the project. He kept us updated on the progress and had great suggestions to make improvements we would have otherwise missed. He goes above and beyond at what he does and his attention to detail is always present. We absolutely love what Derek created for us.
