Bayview Kitchen Design

Had the pleasure to work with Biljana for a complete kitchen renovation. We compared against several other contractors and decided to go with Biljana for the beautiful and functional design, as well as value for money.

Entire process was smooth and professional. Everything delivered on time.

Having used the kitchen for 4 months, I can really say it's becoming our favourite room in the house. We are also loving all the praises when we have friends over, they would all comment on the beautiful look!

We had Paul & Bilyana design our kitchen last year. We went from a galley kitchen, dining room and dinette (which was never used as a room and more of a walkway) to giving us a fantastic open design and everyone loves it. Gorgeous stainless steel backsplash, huge island that is now our main place to stop when guests are over and I've even learned to cook and like it!!! Biljana at Bayview Kitchen Design is a friendly and knowledgeable professional. Her assistance throughout the entire process made the kitchen renovation much easier. During the planning and design stage, she spent the time to listen and understand what we were looking for. She was able to provide a design that maximized the space, incorporated the details we wanted and made the kitchen very functional.

The cabinet installation was very professional. The carpenter took the time to ensure everything was completed correctly and paid attention to every detail.

Biljana was quick to answer our questions and address any concerns we had during the renovations. Her knowledge and advice on the small details ensured we would be happy with the kitchen - faucets styles that fit close to the wall, drawer organizers, plug locations, cabinet handles, etc.

Kitchen (custom cabinets, cork floor, island, counters, lighting, aka the works), pantry (tile floor, custom cabinets, counters, lighting, aka the works), one full bathroom (the works), one half bathroom (cabinets, sink, toilet, mirror), cabinets (plus flooring) in hallway between one bathroom and adjoining bedroom, closet in entrance hallway, plus lots of painting and small extra jobs.
Went for quality and got it, at expense.
Small corrections all made, most in reasonable time.
Would seriously consider hiring them to complete the renovations. More...

We hired Bayview Kitchens to redo our kitchen in our condo and we are extremely satisfied with the end result. Their professionalism right from design to final installation was superb. We did not experience any of the problems people normally complain about renos, trades and workmanship. The quality of the kitchen cabinets, counter tops, lighting, flooring, and back splash was outstanding. The workmanship of Paul Salituro and the installation crew was superior. Always showed up on time, finished early, cleaned up after every visit, polite and respectful and everything was top grade quality. Not one thing went wrong which I would say is very unusual. They were always responsive when we called or emailed them. The quality of all the trades that Bayview brought in were superior. All cabinets and counter tops, sink, faucet and flooring was truly top quality. Our condo had access issues and each time a delivery was required they were there to supervise the deliver and assist with access to our condo. This doesn't sound like much but I can assure it it could have been a huge problem. They managed the issue really well. And best of all there was no wavering on price. It was quoted and it ended up as quoted with no variances except for additions we added like lighting. Unbelievable, I'd say and very honourable.

We liked the work so much that we agreed for them to build a custom cabinet for a second bedroom. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone and would hire them in a second if I needed more done in our condo. More...

One look at Biljana's wonderfully designed showroom and I was hooked. I had found the kitchen and the designer I wanted to work with. Her ideas, advice and support resulted in a beautifully designed and totally workable kitchen and laundry room. She patiently helped me decide on the kitchen countertop and suggested the display cabinet above my pantry which I love. As well, her knowledge of lighting resulted in a well-lit work space. I would definitely recommend Biljana and Paul Salituro, the contractor. In addition to the kitchen, Paul was responsible for building me a storage closet in my entranceway and adding a new ceiling with pot lights in the hallway. My husband and I decided to renovate our kitchen and met with Biljana who was referred to us by a friend. My friend had a good experience in dealing with Biljana, her creativity, innovation and attention to detail. I am more than pleased with my new kitchen, we have been creating great meals, and enjoying it with friends and family. Working with Biljana was great, she takes the time to understand your needs and wants and makes it happen. Paul, the contractor was very professional, timely, and his attention to detail was fantastic. Paul was onsite and dealt with all the issues, this was a great help and tremendous piece of mind for us. He would update us every day on progress made. Three different renovated kitchens, three different homes in Toronto’s Annex, the escarpment in Stoney Creek and now downtown in renewed Hamilton. All have one thing in common - the deft touch of Biljana McDowell.

Cooking a gourmet meal has never been easier with Biljana’s smart practical layout and design. Silent drawers that are sized so Marta and I can fit a complete set of 11 pots into a single drawer, all the bottles of oil and vinegar fitting neatly into another easy to pullout drawer, and plenty of space for everything from groceries to the “good” Mexican dishes.

At small family dinners or large parties everyone gathers in the kitchen. As we planned the kitchen is the focal point of the house and entertaining.

Adding to economy of scale is superb workmanship that has stood the test of time and my occasional abuse. Unlike some designers Biljana actually listens to what you want and delivers your own dream not a copy of some trendy kitchen in a glossy. Add design genius, fun, warm, creative, practical, detailed, great to work with. Did I say cost-conscious?

I would hire Biljana a fourth time except my wife would kill me if we ever move again.
