Angels Heating Vancouver

I asked them to come out to clean my air vents and the vent for my dryer. Appointment set for midday. Fred turned up at 9 am. Went to my furnace and spent the next several minutes on the phone. He then tried to sell me a new furnace and change over my hot water tank to a tankless gas tank. Cost? 6,900.00. I am 70 and alone. I felt pressured and agreed. However when no one arrived to clean my vents, which was the only reason I called them, I called and cancelled the agreement. I felt that Fred’s job was not a service person but a sales person. I had e-transferred 500.00 as a deposit and was told by Fred that if I did that I would not be charged for his visit. That charge was 350.00. I demanded the refund of the 150.00 accepting I was foolish and weak. An expensive lesson but a learned lesson. Older women on their own get scammed all the time.
