All-Craft Renovations

I would highly recommend hiring All-Craft for a home renovation project. We recently renovated our main bathroom. A complete gut was the best approach in our 60 year old bungalow. Like most houses of this era, the bathroom was very small. The demolition also included taking over part of a hallway to make the washroom slightly bigger. We approached All-Craft with very clear direction and they executed the project with perfection in mind. They even went above and beyond at times to make sure we got the best renovation possible. All the bathroom walls are now covered with 12” x 24” tiles. All-Craft has ******** certified staff meaning they had the required knowledge and training for this type of tile project. ******** trim reduced the requirement for caulking to a bare minimum. The modern, minimalist approach to the bathroom design required precision alignments which the All-Craft team could execute. We have done many renovations to our house including roof/window replacements and a house extension/kitchen renovation. This bathroom renovation was definitely our most complex project due to all the detailed specifications in such a small space. The All Craft team are fantastic. From start to finish they listened, heard our needs, developed a great plan and worked tirelessly with us to make it happen. Project came in on time and on budget. Changes we thought up and added were incorporated and did not create havoc with the plans or our budget. Craftsmanship was excellent, with exceptional attention to detail. We now have a beautiful lower level bathroom which significantly increases the value of our home. All craft is a very professionlal firm with a knowledgable helpful staff. Our main upstairs bathroom was completely renovated. The old was effeiciently removed and the new shower built with care and attention to detail. There were (as usual) a few glitches but they were dealt with as quickly as possible. All Craft worked dillegently to solve the issues taking my needs and wishes into consideration. The workers were respectful of my home and my dog. They worked diligently respecting my home and cleaned up after themselves every day. The businesses they recommended for the supplies for the renovations were most helpful and customer friendly. We also had some minor work done on our second bathroom as well. That work was completed once the main bathroom was completed. I am very happy with the look and quality of the work done in our home. During the summer of 2015, we hired All-Craft Renovations for a very extensive remodeling /renovation project. My first contact with this company was at one of our city's home shows. After speaking with Brian, I really felt this company was the one for our project. He met with us in our home to give us an estimate as well as to help us determine what we wanted to get done. Our first project was an exterior deck. The carpenter arrived every day, early and built a beautifully designed deck. All the old deck was cleared away and taken care of. Everything was built to code. We then decided to completely redo our kitchen, our flooring in living room, kitchen and dining room. We had a new staircase put in and then had a bathroom makeover. Kitchen and bathroom were gutted to begin with! It was very exciting to see the changes that were occurring daily. Again, all clean up was done and workers were on-site daily, including some weekends! We were very impressed! Our bathroom included the design, and construction of a beautifully tiled custom shower with bench and alcove, free-standing tub, brand new vanity, linen cupboard, installation of a fan, new light fixtures and a new toilet. Ceramic flooring was also installed. Hardwood flooring was installed on the main level (kitchen, dining room and living room). And the kitchen included a brand new design as well, including light fixtures, a pantry and a peninsula countertop addition. Their knowledge and expertise in the beging right thrubthe whole process makes our job as the Carpenters so much easier to complete and perfect to the specific standard they expect and won't and don't settle for anybless. .. All Craft was 1 on 4 companies contacted to give an estimate to replace our 10X 12 deck.
All Craft was the only company who arrived on time, took pictures, explained what would be done and walked us through the entire process answering all questions asked. Showed what could be done and addressed any concerns we had.
The company does the job the right way, no shortcuts taken. Project was expanded to include the installation of a 60' French drain at my request.
Their team, project manager, carpenters and Murray were very respectful and courteous.

With all the horror stories of deck collapsing, my wife and I decided to replace the deck on our home. My wife and I started to look at the process of how decks were constructed in the summer of 2014 and were planning to have the work done in the spring of 2015. Our existing deck was at the end of its life span and a new fresh deck was needed. I am employed in the construction industry and know what scheduling is like from a construction standpoint. We wanted professionals to build our new living space and ensure that our project was done right the first time. Planning, design and construction is what a lot of people seem to miss when starting a major renovation.

We had approached All Craft at a local Home Improvement show in the fall and the owner was more than happy to look at our concept drawing we had drafted up. A week later, All Craft was out to our house to prepare us a more functional deck layout to suit our needs. They incorporated our sketch and gave us many options that we did not think of. The design from All Craft allowed more functionality and flow from the previous deck.

This project included 3 contractors from start to finish. We had hired an excavation company that All Craft uses to grade our property and fix drainage issues that we had with our property. The excavation company laid down an excellent base for the new deck and Pool Company to install an above ground pool. They also fixed all the drainage issues on the property. We had no problems with this contractor and would recommend their services as well. All Craft also uses this excavation company on their projects.

We also worked with a local pool company and purchased it in the winter. Our pool was the 2nd pool to get installed for the pool company in 2015. They installed it the last end of May. The foreman of the pool company indicated they were booked into September at this point (May).

The entire framing process from the footings to the hand rails was constructed perfectly. The Bigfoot construction method was used in the footers for the upper deck to maximize the support of the upper deck. The support of the entire deck will last for many years to come. It is strong, attached to the house properly and framed with the utmost precision. All Craft employs excellent carpenters that take pride in the decks they build. They work safely and have a professional staff that was properly dressed.

All Craft’s team of Project managers were great to work with. Permits, drawings & inspections are all aspects that people overlook. The PM from All Craft managed this project well. There were no deficiencies by the Municipal inspectors and there was always a solution to issues when they arose during the construction. Permits are need to be acquired to ensure insurance coverage for any homeowner.
