I had the priveledge to work with Keith at 48 North Design over this past year; I hired Keith to design and construct our office located at 7800 Kennedy Road, Suite 304 in Markham;
when I acquired this unit, it was being used as a gym/yoga studio. With Keith's ingenuity and artistic capabilities, he designed a complete split office concept separating one large unit into two units. Our accounting office Stratos Accounting & Consulting now occupies this office space.
The quality that went into the finishes is second to none; All of our clients that walk in through the front doors are astonished by the look and feel of the office unit.
When I hired Keith, he walked me through his entire engagement process starting with drawings, to design, construction and furnishings. Keith's team provided me with a complete turn-key solution. I was thoroughly impressed with Keith's project management skills and his ability to deliver a finished product on time as agreed; Keiths budgeting and forecasting kept all costs completely under control. I was truly impressed of Keiths micro management of all construction costs and managing multiple trades at the same time; as a result of Keiths efforts, I did not incur any cost overruns.

What’s your interior design process?
Initial consultation: This is a meeting between the client and the interior designer to discuss the scope of the project, the client's goals, budget, and timeline.
Concept development: The interior designer will develop a design concept that takes into account the client's needs, preferences, and style. This may include creating mood boards, color schemes, and selecting furniture and accessories.
Space planning: The interior designer will create a detailed plan of the space, including furniture placement, lighting, and circulation patterns. This plan will ensure that the space is functional and meets the client's needs.
Material selection: The interior designer will select materials for the space, such as flooring, wall coverings, and fabrics. These materials will be chosen to complement the design concept and meet the client's budget.
Design development: The interior designer will create detailed drawings and specifications for the project. These may include plans for built-in furniture, lighting fixtures, and other custom elements.
Implementation: The interior designer will oversee the installation of the project, working closely with contractors, vendors, and other professionals to ensure that the design is executed correctly.

The process of bringing a client's vision from 3D renderings to reality.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Creative freedom, knowledge, and expertise gained over the past decade. I felt stifled in my previous employment, there was minimal opportunity to get creative and really try something new.
Why should our clients choose you?
I offer professional results at reasonable rates. I take pride in my work, albeit a bit of a perfectionist. I strive to ensure that the end product is indicative of the time and effort which has gone into the design concept itself. I believe in strong communication throughout the design and build process and work with contractors to guarantee results.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I provide both in-person and remote services. Due to the nature of my business, site visits are mandatory for every project I take on.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
During the pandemic I mandated appropriate PPE - ie. masks, gloves, santizer.
Times have changed, so PPE is no longer mandated but is available should a client request it.
