Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
Bookkeepers and accountants can be seen as another expense added to a business.
They should actually be seen as an investment that will see a good ROI over time.
New business owners will often try to do everything themselves trying to "save money". They often get bogged down with work and can fall behind.
By investing in a good bookkeeper, they can clearly see a picture of their business and be able to make quick decisions. It is important they focus on their own skills which can give vision to their companies growth.
What do you love most about your job?
I love to see companies become profitable. This can only be done as owners can see a clear picture of how their business is doing. Is it profitable or struggling? When they see this, they can then make decisions to change this.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Freedom to set my own hours and control my own income. With the flexibility, I am able to give extra hours to a charity which I am connected with.
Why should our clients choose you?
When you choose a bookkeeper, you are giving all your financial information to them which involves trust.
The biggest questions which you may have is "Can I trust you to handle my finances?" or "Will they be done right?"
The only thing I can give are the following answers:
I am a member of a professional bookkeeping association called CPB Canada. I have to write an exam to get this certification.
I am fully insured against any errors and omissions and have had no claims.
I have satisfied clients who have been with me for many years.

The bookkeeping industry has changed rapidly over the last few years as it can offer services to clients anywhere in Canada. Although I have many clients locally, I use software where I rarely have to go to an office.
I am also a ProAdvisor for Quickbooks Online which I am beginning to use more frequently with clients. This enables them to access their books at anytime as well as do their own data entry to help reduce costs.
