I worked with Heidi on a remodel and modernization of my kitchen specifically, and a general overall modernization of my 30 year-old bungalow, which was (sadly) decorated in the late 80’s, with a layout common in that time.
I am absolutely delighted with the results!
Heidi is exceptionally good at understanding a client’s priorities and preferences, and she takes the time to get a clear sense of what the client really wants/needs to accomplish, rather than simply following a potentially unrealistic wish list. She project managed the implementation of the overall project, and was always available to address any unforeseen issues. I would certainly highly recommend her.

What’s your interior design process?
1. Our process typically begins with any introductory call for up to 30 minutes where we get an opportunity to learn more about each other and briefly tell you about how we work. We have developed a step by step project process that helps our clients understand what to expect, and when to expect it.
2. If after our call we decide to proceed to the next step we will book a "Design Date" which is an in person consultation with our lead designer and tradesman for up to 2 hours at the project location. The purpose of the meeting is to assess the site conditions and get further clarity on the project scope, goals, wish-list, design style and level of design finesse you are looking for. After the consultation we will write out Scope of Design Work + Fee Proposal which we will present to you via video call within 10 business days. The cost of the consultation is $497 + HST.
3. From there, if you decide to work with us, we move into the detailed research an ddesign phase where we begin to plan the space based on your unique needs.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
We work in a few design styles:
- a minimal contemporary style with a limited material palette and sculptural shapes
- a playful modern look with funky shapes and graphic patterns
- an urban industrial loft vibe that incorporates grungy textures and street inspired artwork.
- a transitional look that is both classic and contemporary at the same time.
Overall our style is best suited for those who like different, and love to be ahead of trends.
How long have you been in business?
I started my business after graduating from Advanced Interior Design at Algonquin College in 2004.
What do you love most about your job?
We are passionate about designing spaces that bring a sense of relief to our clients by reducing visual clutter through clever storage and a refined palette, improving flow and efficiency through smart space planning and by incorporating time and energy saving technologies. The best part of our work is giving our clients the gift of saved time and peace of mind through intelligent design and proven procedures.
What inspired you to start your own business?
When I graduated college I was unable to find my dream job in the city where I wanted to live - Ottawa - so I decided to create it myself! I have a passion to provide the guidance and mentorship that I have always craved myself, and leading a team gives me the opportunity to do that. I give back to the community by taking on design co-op students and am currently working with my 11th co-op placement student as of March of 2025.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
A significant amount of design work can be done remotely, however it is necessary for us to visit the project site at least twice to verify site measurements and other information about the building. If our client has a LIDAR camera it is possible to have them scan their space and then upload it to be turned into a 3D model that we can work with, however we still need to verify the site prior to finalization.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We follow public health guidelines in place, and are happy to accommodate specific requests for additional protection for our clients.

These sessions are the best way to make quick progress on any project by working along side of us to give immediate feedback and make quick decisions on your design dilemmas. 2. Decor Rx | A Game Plan to Refresh Your Furniture + Decor

DecorRx packages include layouts and selections for room finishes, furniture, decorative, lighting, plus concepts for major decor and art pieces and window coverings.
Each package includes a conceptual 3D model, 2D design drawings with ideal dimensions, and a shopping list that you can implement yourself, or hire our team.
