Design Development: In the design development phase, we leverage the insights gained from our consultation and assessment to craft a comprehensive design plan tailored to your preferences and requirements. This plan encompasses layout proposals, color schemes, material selections, and various furniture options. Upon completion, we present the design plan to you, actively incorporating your feedback and making adjustments as needed to ensure it reflects your vision accurately. To facilitate visualization, we utilize 3D renderings or mood boards, offering a tangible representation of the proposed design concept.
3. Renovation and Implementation: Upon your approval of the design plan, we transition into the renovation and implementation phase, embarking on a journey of transformation for your space. This stage may involve a range of tasks, from demolition and construction to plumbing, electrical work, and other essential modifications. Taking the lead, we orchestrate seamless coordination among contractors, architects, and other professionals to ensure the renovation progresses efficiently and stays on track with the established timeline. Furnishing and Styling:During the furnishing and styling phase, we take on the task of sourcing and acquiring furniture, accessories, and decor items that harmonize with the design aesthetic we've established and seamlessly integrate with your lifestyle. Overseeing the delivery and installation process, we meticulously ensure that every piece of furniture is positioned correctly and in alignment with the designated design plan. Additionally, we add the finishing touches to elevate the ambiance of the space, incorporating elements such as artwork, rugs, throw pillows, and plants to enhance its overall look and feel. Prior to concluding the project, we conduct a final walkthrough together, ensuring your complete satisfaction by addressing any remaining concerns or adjustments to guarantee the space meets your expectations.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
I have a deep affection for vintage items with a mix of new pieces, and my personal style often shifts between transitional and contemporary. However, I don't impose my preferences on clients unless they share similar tastes. In fact, I find it off-putting when a design screams a particular designer's signature style. Your home should reflect your individuality and taste. Throughout my experience, I've worked with clients who appreciate art deco, modern, mid-century modern, traditional styles, etc, and I collaborate with them to infuse my unique perspective while honouring their true essence.
What do you love most about your job?
Interior design is undeniably my passion. Design permeates every aspect of my life, and having the opportunity to share this love and enthusiasm with my clients is nothing short of a dream fulfilled. I relish the chance to meet new clients, immerse myself in their unique styles, and creatively tackle design challenges. There's a profound satisfaction in unraveling a design puzzle and witnessing the joy it brings to my clients.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was a realtor in Vancouver for 8 years, believing I enjoyed being my own boss and making a great income. However, deep down, I found myself disenchanted with my career. Alongside my real estate work, I often assisted clients with their interior design projects, discovering a true passion in the process but I never believed that it could become a full time career. But the birth of my son made me rethink my purpose in life and I wanted him to witness me thriving in a career I loved, rather than enduring one I despised. So, despite the daunting prospect of leaving behind a lucrative profession, I made the brave choice to pursue my passion wholeheartedly. Since then, not once have I regretted my decision. I owe it all to my son, whose arrival inspired me to embrace my dreams and become the best version of myself.
