SABANA CONSTRUCTION

I hired Sabana to complete construction of a 12’x18’ shed that had been abandoned by a contractor. Because of my previous bad experience, I was somewhat intimidated by the process of having to select another contractor. During the selection interview I found Darren articulate, he seemed to understand the nature of the problems I had encountered, and was willing to negotiate a back loaded payment schedule that boosted my confidence in his sincerity to undertake and complete the job.
I’ve done a lot of home construction projects in the past, but am getting a little too old to tackle something of this magnitude myself. But I do pretty much know the tasks to be done, and the quality of the workmanship needed to please myself in the completion of those tasks. I provided Darren with a list of tasks needed to complete the shed, some materials needed, drawings I had done, along with a copy of the original building permit from the city of Ottawa.
Work started early September 2024 and was completed by the end of the month.
I’m picky about the quality of my workmanship and like to take pride in the results.
I found quality of Sabana’s work excellent. Many times I’ve seen shoddy results from contractors that don’t seem to care, just want to get the job done, but Darren and his crew completed tasks with the level of quality that would make me proud if I had done it myself.
Darren kept me abreast of their work schedule and made sure I was satisfied with material selection. When they encountered problems, and the result didn’t look just right, they would tear it apart and re-do it.
Sabana exceed my expectations, they arranged building inspections with the city of Ottawa, and kept the site clean, removing waste construction materials.

Sabana (Darren) was a hard working contractor. He did allot of the work on his own. Quality of his work was excellent. When Darren was on site he work the whole time. Hired Savana Construction to build the foundation for the storage shed and assemble the shed. Both Darren Sr and Darren Jr did a very good job of completing the work on time as scheduled. There was a change in work at the last minute and they assured us that it can be done and they communicated very well about the change of work needed and completed as promised.
