At Riverstone Family Counseling Services we are about accelerating change or transformation in your life!

We affirm people in life's transitions. As human beings we sometimes experience new situations, naturally arising, that may take us into a deep well of sadness or a volcano of anger. Accepting life's changes includes being able to live life without spiraling into depression or raging against others. Working with life's challenges includes making decisions without being overcome with crippling anxiety. It is about living life on your own terms not as a doormat to others. Examples of our work include:

- dealing with anger management, depression or mood swings, particularly for people with BPD
- young adult issues,
- assessing what hindrances your progress in certain areas such as goal setting and goal completion,
- relationships, both past and present,
- addictions and trauma,
- spiritual emergencies,
- learning disabilities, ADD and ADHD and mild autism.

Our therapists are offering Coaching, Object Relations Therapy and Self Psychology. Our psychology is grounded in analysis of relationships, beginning with childhood up to current time. Object Relations Therapy is helpful for those who have experienced trauma and may be living with post-traumatic stress disorder.

Coaching is more for you if what you are looking for is someone to help you navigate the complexities of achieving your goals. We work towards helping you stay accountable to your self.

Self Psychology works well in enhancing relationships in family systems and couples' counseling. Riverstone Family Counseling therapists also use dream analysis, myth making and your own personal story-telling as a means to developing self awareness.

We look at typical problems emerging from repeat patterns and help you focus on where you may be stuck. Together we address mal-adaptive patterns. We work towards change so that you can transform your life and achieve your goals. The therapeutic goal may be to live life with less anxiety, greater impulse control and ability to heal from depression or trauma. Together, we work towards addressing your therapeutic goals. These goals may be to live life with greater self awareness and control over your emotions and actions, so that the end result is a happier and fulfilled Self.
