About

I've had the privilege of working with several reputable companies during my time in the trades, acquiring a diverse range of skills at each one. Currently, I'm part of a dynamic team at a general contracting firm, where I've dedicated myself to learning and growing.

Bathroom Installation & Remodel

Our family chose On The Point construction to renovate our two powder rooms due to damage from a slow leak that went unnoticed for an indeterminate period. James was very personable and was able to tell us what work was needed and the timeline that he would need. The trades he used were very thorough, very friendly and professional in their work. He started on time and put in full days. He helped us make lots of decisions without pushing his agenda. He kept a very clean worksite and protected our floors with tarps, etc. His quote was spelled out with payments due after each section of work was completed. He actually finished about a week and a half earlier than expected. We were very impressed and would have no problems recommending him to anyone.

Q&As

I have had my own business for roughly a year, but I have been doing it part time while I still work for my employers company. I do not want to overwhelm myself and not be able to provide the service I am offering so I am trying to learn about the business side of construction organically for long term success.

Customer satisfaction. I worked in the hospitality industry for a long time and if there is one thing I can take away from that, it is ensuring that the customer is satisfied. My communication skills are very strong so I will keep the client in the loop throughout the entire process.

Either problem solving or a happy customer. At the end of the day nothing complements your hard work more than a happy customer.

I was working for the government and I personally was unsatisfied with the work. I took some time off to figure what I wanted to do and after a lot of thinking I came to the conclusion that I wanted to learn construction with the end goal of starting my own company.

Something my friends tell me is I am the most honest person they know. I do not take on jobs that I am not capable of completing, so if I am bidding for your job it is because I know how to do it. If you choose me I'm confident you will use me again.
