What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
The question is, is this a sprint or a marathon? The secret is to observe the crowd, sense when they want a change, then give it to them. Depending on the crowd, it will determine the level of energy required to keep them interested and engaged, the amount of diversity they will tolerate and when to hit them with the tunes they want to engage with.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I always tell people that they will never hear the same set from me twice. I am not a 'formula' dj where you have a number of set playlists that you rigidly adhere to. I am much more organic in my approach. I usually start by trying a musical style and then observing the crowd and then take them on a journey. Where I go from there is up to the people and their reactions. The destination is always unknown, but the journey is always the thing. I try to make it fun with twists and turns where people will recognize pieces presented to them in new ways.
What do you love most about your job?
As a DJ, what I love most about my job is the opportunity to share my passion for music with others. Music has always been a deep and meaningful part of my life, and being able to curate playlists, discover new artists, and create dynamic musical experiences for people is incredibly fulfilling.
The thing that really energizes me is seeing the crowd's reaction to the music I play. There's nothing quite like watching a dance floor light up when I drop the perfect track, or seeing the looks of pure joy and excitement on people's faces as they lose themselves in the rhythm. It's a feeling of pure connection - being able to tap into the universal power of music to bring people together and create unforgettable moments.
Beyond just playing music, I also love the creative aspects of DJing. Crafting the perfect set list, blending tracks seamlessly, and layering in creative effects and transitions - it's like sculpting an ever-evolving sonic landscape. I'm constantly challenging myself to find new ways to surprise and delight the audience, to take them on a journey through sound.
Ultimately, what I cherish most about this job is the opportunity to share my love of music and to be a part of the amazing communal experience that happens when people come together to dance and celebrate. There's an undeniable magic in that, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to facilitate those special moments night after night.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My aim was just to make some money doing what I loved to do. Everything kind of evolved from there. Businesses I worked with asked for invoices, so I had to have a way to create them. Others asked me to give them a price for a gig and I needed a way to store what I told them. Some people stiffed me from gigs, so I needed to create an agreement and a deposit system and have a way of keeping track of that... so It kind of evolved from need.
Why should our clients choose you?
Well, I would have to say I choose the clients that I want to work with. It's a two way street. If I sense this will not be a good fit, I will not work with someone... so if I choose you, I would expect that we would be a good fit to work together. In addition, I am professional, reliable, punctual and all the fun stuff everyone should be that expects to be treated like a professional. I keep everyone informed and up to date every step of the way so there are no surprises and I make it as easy as possible to work with me, being flexible and adaptive to any situation.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
While it is possible to work remotely, and all you really need is a good internet connection and you can stream my sets live, it's not recommended. DJing is something that should be done in person.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
As someone that travels to the venues to do the work, Covid-19 is not one of the considerations I make as it is the responsibility of the venue/public policy/governments to regulate and implement.
Video DJ Service
Video DJ service combines traditional DJ music mixing with the visual element of synchronized video content. Instead of just playing audio tracks, I integrates pre-produced video clips, live camera feeds, and dynamic visual effects to create a fully immersive multimedia experience for the audience. This allows me to not only control the music and energy of the event, but also the visual stimulation, creating a cohesive, high-impact performance. I use specialized software and hardware to seamlessly blend music, videos, graphics, and lighting to elevate the atmosphere and excitement of the event, whether it's a wedding, corporate party, festival, or nightclub. By engaging both the auditory and visual senses, I can transform a typical DJ set into a captivating audiovisual spectacle.
Mobile DJ
As a mobile DJ, I take great pride in being able to provide a complete, self-contained DJ setup for any event. Rather than relying on the venue's equipment and hoping it will be adequate, I load up with all the gear I need - top-of-the-line speakers, a powerful mixer, my laptop packed with my music library, and my trusty DJ controller. This allows me to have total control over the audio quality, song selection, and flow of the event. By bringing everything I need, I can ensure the music and energy is dialed in perfectly, without any technical hiccups or limitations. It's incredibly rewarding to see guests dancing and celebrating to the soundtrack I've curated, knowing I had a hand in creating that unforgettable experience from the ground up.
Club DJ
As a club DJ, my role is to energize the dance floor and keep the party going all night long. When I arrive at the club, I immediately get to work setting up my high-end DJ equipment or use a club's CDJs, mixer, speakers, lighting, and my extensive music library. Throughout the night, I carefully read the crowd, selecting tracks that build the momentum and create an electrifying atmosphere. By seamlessly blending genres, tempos, and styles, I craft a dynamic, immersive musical experience that has the crowd captivated. My deep knowledge of the latest hits, remixes, and underground tracks allows me to surprise and delight the audience, dropping the perfect song at just the right moment to drive the energy through the roof. Beyond just playing music, I also incorporate creative visual elements, like lighting and video effects, to make the performance a true audiovisual spectacle. My goal is to be the driving force that transforms the club into an unforgettable, euphoric environment where people can lose themselves in the music all night long.
Lounge DJ
As a lounge DJ, my role is to create a sophisticated, ambient musical atmosphere that enhances the laid-back, sophisticated vibe of the space. Rather than driving the energy with high-intensity dance music, I carefully select downtempo electronic, nu-jazz, and chill-out tracks that gently set the mood. My goal is to provide a sonic backdrop that complements the lounge's décor and ambiance, allowing patrons to relax, converse, and sip cocktails in comfort. I blend tracks seamlessly, avoiding jarring transitions, and utilize techniques like harmonic mixing to ensure a smooth, cohesive flow. Throughout the evening, I monitor the energy levels and make adjustments to the music, gradually building or tapering the intensity as needed. My role is not to be the center of attention, but to elevate the overall lounge experience through thoughtful, unobtrusive music programming. Clients hire me for my expertise in crafting the perfect lounge soundtrack - one that creates a sense of sophistication, comfort and escape for their discerning guests. I was resident DJ at a martini bar for 7+ years until they closed their doors due to condo development.
