I can't recommend DJ Ivan enough!! He lit up the dance floor at my wedding ALL NIGHT.. nobody wanted him to leave at 2am!
Right from the start he made me feel at ease. He sent me multiple spread sheets to fill out with all of my wedding information so he was updated and knew what to expect. We had a phone call a week before so we could go over any last minute changes and confirm the schedule. He showed up early, making sure that he was prepared and gave himself time to relax before the reception stared. He was very courteous, friendly, and played all of the right music to keep the party going! I've never been to a wedding before where the dance floor was FULL until 2am in the morning. Ivan will be the only DJ we use going forward. Highly highly highly recommend!!!

He came as a DJ for our high school semi-formal. He did an amazing job and everyone had an unforgettable experience that night. The song choices were appropriate for a school event, yet fit the situation extremely well. Our student council which organized the event got numerous compliments and we would like to forward the thanks to the DJ who played a huge part in it! He was very patient with our student council's amateurishness and many issues as well. Not just as a DJ, but as a person, our DJ was an extremely nice, caring and understanding person. Ivan was an exceptional DJ. Very lovely to work with. This was my wedding, however this was the first wedding I have attended where the dance floor was completely full the whole entire wedding! Ivan rocked our party! He had all the ladies up on the dance floor and was playing all the right tunes for the crowd. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?

What do you love most about your job?
Being a DJ is my life, not just what I do for a living!
I spend a great deal of my spare time preparing my music list for each special occasion I work on, helping to make each event deeply memorable.
I am a very intuitive DJ with over 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry.
I also speak french and english fluently.
From the pre-planning stages to the last song played, I am equipped to create either a party feel or a more laid-back scene.

Disc Jockeys Unlimited (DJU) has been providing DJ services in Ontario since 1963. DJU is an industry leader and over the past years we have firmly established ourselves as the leading professional DJ and entertainment supplier in Ontario.
Sid Hopkins started Disc Jockeys Unlimited in 1963 and operated the company until 1988 at which time Michael Geretch (who worked for Sid at the time as a DJ) took over until September 2016 Michael was also CDJA’s Toronto Chapter President and the National V.P at the same time. Ivan Lapalme (who was trained by Michael and worked with DJU since 2004 as a DJ) purchased DJU in September of 2016 and has since taken over all of DJU’s operations.

Karaoke Hosts
Our karaoke hosts and MCs are experienced, friendly, reliable, and dressed for the occasion. They will bring the equipment required for a fun night of singing, give you all of the input you would like, and help you to make the event run smoothly.
On the night of the event, the karaoke host will have several copies of what songs are available and a signup sheet for the singers to write down the songs they want to sing.
Don’t know the words to your favourite song? No problem, we will also provide a monitor so the singers can see the words to the songs. In the case of a duet, the lyrics will show up as a different colour for each singer with two microphones provided by the karaoke host.
For those clients who wish to have a larger screen so that the words can be seen by the rest of the guests, an additional TV or a projector and screen can be arranged.
If you’re worried you may not have a singing crowd, we can arrange to have a karaoke host there who is also an experienced DJ entertainer. Should the karaoke slow down, you can still dance the night away.
Dance lighting and special effects like fog can also be added in to help create the desired environment.
Whatever the party, we do it right!
