LMS Web Design

I am a freelance web designer specialising in WordPress and Joomla websites. I work one-on-one with you - every client gets my personal and full attention. Please view examples of my work and full contact details on my website: www.lovemysite.co.za A NOTE ON COST: My prices for a brochure website consisting of 4 pages/sections (Homepage, About Us, Services, Contact page/form) start from R6800. Because every business/project is unique and because I work very personally with every client, it is impossible to provide an accurate estimate or quote with the little information that you've completed on the Bark form. If you want an accurate idea of what your project will cost, please complete my quote form here: https://www.lovemysite.co.za/web-design-pricing-and-quotations I work on a 60% deposit with the balance payable before your site is moved to your domain (website address). A NOTE ON TIME: Because I do not design "cookie-cutter" websites, it generally takes 4-6 weeks to complete a custom website from the design start date to completion. This time period is greatly determined by how quickly you have all of your content (text) and images ready for me. Design time will only be allocated, once I have all the materials needed for your site. * New designs & re-design, including online shops * Content updates * Site health maintenance * Troubleshooting * Training * SEO Implementation * Newsletter set-up & integration * Functionality (adding and setting up functions like membership management, accommodation listings, online forms, etc.) All my websites are designed with a checklist of best practices to ensure that they're technically sound and live up to Search Engine (Google) standards. After hand-over, you will have total access to and control over your own website so that, if you wish to, you can update and make changes yourself. To this end, I also provide training. I work with all types and sizes of businesses and my portfolio includes work for NGOs, NPOs and agencies (white labeling). Before I start working on your website, I ensure that I fully understand your business and what you want to achieve with your website. Lastly, but most importantly, I am reliable, and trustworthy and fervently guard my good reputation. You will not receive the "design-and-disappear" treatment from me. If you've already had a bad experience with a "professional" website designer and ended up with a DIY-looking site that you feel you need to apologise for, you will understand how important reliability and trust are in the working relationship between a client and his/her web designer.

What makes a great website?

A great website should have all of these features:

* A clear purpose
* Strong, professional branding
* Simple navigation
* Strong calls to action
* Great mobile experience
* Compelling content
* Google Analytics

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

* What is your business about?
* What is the purpose of your website?
* What are the "must-haves" for your website?
* What are the "nice-to-haves" for your website?
* How are you currently marketing your business?
* What is wrong with your current website (in the case of changes/re-design)?
* Do you have a few examples of websites that you personally like?
* When would you like your site to launch?

What do you love most about your job?

I love that I can get technical and creative at the same time. I love that I learn something new every day and enjoy passing on some of the tricks of my trade to my clients. It's also amazing to see a jumble of information come together right in front of my eyes while I'm working. Seeing it all end up as a beautiful and professional-looking testament for my client's business is priceless.

What inspired you to start your own business?

There are red-tape and time-consuming processes involved in the work of bigger digital agencies where web design is just one of their services. Focusing on website design enables me to help business owners and organisations (NGOs & NPOs) to get online quickly and keep their online profile healthy, without fuss, interference and long lead times, sometimes on a tight budget. It's a great honour to be able to help another business complete this step of its online journey and see it grow and flourish as time goes on.

Why should our clients choose you?

There are a few things that I want when buying any kind of service for my own business from a service provider, so I hold myself up to these standards and requirements:

* They listen to what I want and need.
* They have the necessary skills and experience to complete the job I pay them for.
* They don't overwhelm me with impressive facts and figures - they explain the process patiently and advise along the way.
* They don't pretend to know how to solve a specific problem when they actually don't. They admit to it and do their best to provide a solution.
* They are upfront about the costs involved.
* They are available when I have questions.
* They don't push me into their own direction, instead, they provide options if my direction is not workable.
* They communicate, keeping me informed of how the project or task is progressing.
* They provide value for money, i.e. I would rather pay them to do the task than doing it myself, even if I can do it myself.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I am set up and comfortable to work with Skype, Zoom and MS Teams from my home office.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I work mostly remotely and when I do meet with clients personally, I do so in a safe area and apply all the necessary safety measures.
