How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
If you want to change your garage into a living space, you need to think about the size of the existing structure and how it links with the house. What do you need from your new space? A bedroom or a studio or workspace each have different requirements. Consider how the changes will fit into your lifestyle.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
The first step is to determine what the zoning and site requirements are. After we have confirmed that we can go ahead with a conversion, we source the existing drawings from the municipality or do a survey to draw up the existing building. After that, we begin the design process in consultation with you. Once you are happy with the proposal we draw up final plans and submit them to the council. We can also do detailed construction drawings that will help your contractor to give you a price on the work.

I enjoy seeing ideas become reality. I enjoy seeing people enjoy their homes more because they have the space they need.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have spent many years in academic settings and enjoy the freedom of independent research. I was inspired by this freedom to start my own practice, as it allows for flexibility and creativity.
