What do you love most about your job?
Efficiency = doing a thing right
Effectiveness = doing the right thing.
Productivity = DOING BOTH
Productivity is producing more or better from less.
Less effort, less time, fewer resources.
There has been growing awareness that productivity CANNOT be improved without improving the human element, attending to employee needs & attending to sound labour practices within a system of Human Resource Management that is fair and just in all processes.
I love being a part of the process & solution. Witnessing the positive changes within a business operation, its employees & managers when my Human Resource Plan has been created, implemented & monitored.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having worked in multiple SME's, family-own businesses as well as Start-Ups as a Human Resource expert it became evident to me that this role was one which the owner of the business felt he/she could absorb internally by mandating an unskilled staff member. The typical result being noncompliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act at best & at worst having to go to the CCMA to pay a reward.
Alignment Consulting was born from the need to assist businesses to function optimally. Without us involved in the business you can expect managers, directors /CEO's to spend more time putting out fires oppose to focusing on the vision and growth of the company.
I realized that this was a common problem among many businesses and one which resulted in much stress, frustration and wasted resources.
I have seen a radical shift in employee morale, productivity and overall business improvement when we get involved in the business operation as we are more than an HR company:
