The club house was clean and the pool is so nice. Although we had a little challenge with one naughty tenant, the security sorted it in a very mature manner

How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
If you stay in an Estate or "complex", then it is wise to check with the Home Owners' Association or Body Cooporate first. The rest will be easy.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
1️⃣ Feasibility & Planning Stage
Purpose: Determine if the conversion is possible and worth doing.
Tasks:
Check local council / municipal regulations for garage conversions.
Evaluate structural suitability of walls, roof, and floor.
Decide function of the space (bedroom, office, studio, granny flat).
Prepare budget estimate (construction costs, permits, finishing, utilities).
Consult with architect or draughtsperson to produce rough sketches.
Deliverables:
Feasibility report
Rough design sketches
Preliminary budget
2️⃣ Design & Approval Stage
Purpose: Create detailed plans and obtain council approval.
Tasks:
Design development: Produce accurate floor plans, elevations, and 3D visuals if needed.
Structural design: Assess roof, walls, and floor — decide if reinforcements are needed.
Utility planning: Plan electrical, plumbing (if adding a bathroom/kitchenette), HVAC.
Council submission: Prepare drawings, complete forms, and submit to local municipality for approval.
Deliverables:
Approved building plans
Compliance with local building codes
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
We work with structural engineers, who will come and assess the existing structure, and advise on whether it is suitable, or if extra measures must be taken to ensure safety and durability. As architects, we do have the ability to judge to a certain extent, but our profession works hand in hand with structural engineers (and other consultants if needed), to ensure that we provide professional services and do not endanger the public.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
We first check of there are any restrictions, by the local council or HOA's if the Client stays in an Estate.
Secondly, we design in 3D software, based on the Client's design brief and requirements, and produce videos and still images to show the Client our interpretation.
Lastly, after constant liason with the Client, we do the Council Submission and get approval so that the Client can build and have the plans on record.
What do you love most about your job?
Using our creative skills to design new buildings that are uplifting, and creating spaces that are practical and fit for use, while being aesthetically pleasing.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The urge to express my personal talent which was being restricted by working for organisations which tend to stifle personal creativity but instead "box" individuals to only focus on specific tasks. I love the freedom to use all my talents to the full, meet Clients, be very involved in the design and technical processes of the job, and finally being hands on to see the project to completion. These are all highly rewarding experiences that one gets when running your own business. It is tough, but highly rewarding!
Why should our clients choose you?
We are very talented in our design approach, and we never shy from experimenting with new technology and techniques, which makes our work very current and contemporary. We find the most pleasure when we have made our clients happy, and that is then a constant drive for us to push ourselves further than expected, to ensure that the client is left satisfied with our services.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Yes our services are available online/remotely. We use WhatsApp or Microsoft Teams or any other online meeting platform that the Client prefers. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, we learnt how to work remotely and we have perfected the process.
Architectural Services
We offer comprehensive architectural design services, guiding our clients from the initial concept stage through to construction. We work closely with clients to translate their ideas into well-considered designs, develop these into council-compliant drawings, and manage the approval process with local municipalities.
Once approvals are in place, we produce highly detailed construction drawings to ensure the building contractor can execute the project accurately, efficiently, and in line with the client’s vision.
