I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the recent cleaning service provided at my apartment. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of my expectations, and I feel compelled to bring the following concerns to your attention:

Lack of Communication: When scheduling the cleaning, I was assured that the job would be completed and finished by 2 pm. However, upon arriving at my apartment, I found that the floors were still dirty, the balcony was being cleaned by another lady, and the oven was still in the process of being cleaned. This lack of communication and inaccurate estimation caused significant inconvenience and disruption to my workday.

Time-Wasting: Due to the miscommunication and incorrect information provided, I had to miss 2.5 hours of my workday. It was frustrating to be told the service was done when, in reality, it was far from complete.

Inadequate Cleaning: I must admit that I am disappointed with the level of cleanliness achieved during the service. Many areas were neglected, including appliances that were not moved, the space under the kitchen cupboards left untouched, and the tops of doors left uncleaned. Additionally, we had to point out specific areas that required attention, which took an extra 45 minutes. The reviews about the thoroughness of your service do not align with my experience.

Misleading Representation: Your customer-facing website claims, ". Importantly, we are passionate about what we do, and it shows in our work." However, I regret to say that the cleaning I received did not reflect this passion or attention to detail, leaving much to be desired.

The expectation of a Deep Clean: If I am required to R1500 for a deep clean, naturally, I expect meticulous attention to detail and precision in every aspect of the service. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and I felt dissatisfied with the overall outcome.

Unethical Pricing: I was surprised to see an increase in the price of the service due to the use of "additional products" without any prior communication. Such information should always be transparently communicated to the client before the service begins.

I am disappointed that the experience was not up to the standard I anticipated, especially given the significant investment I made in this service. As a customer, I expect transparency, effective communication, and quality work, which were, unfortunately, lacking in this instance.

I hope you take my feedback seriously and use it as an opportunity to improve your services. As a customer, I value honesty and professionalism, and I believe that addressing these concerns will enhance your reputation in the industry. More...

Hi Jessica, I’m so sorry you feel that way. Please be assured we welcome & appreciate positive criticism. We build on our service that way. However I am concerned that you didnt raise your concerns with me nor did i have the impression that you were not happy with the final product (post checking) on our departure. Yes, we didn’t move the fridge prior to your arrival and we did upon your request. We did however move the washing machine & dryer… (we didn’t wipe down the dust on the machine & dryer) We did that as a courtesy because we saw how bad the dust had accumulated. Please refer to the checklist (provided with quote) - does not include. I also thought you understood that we communicated the quote without physically being there to view the place. The quote does include terms pertaining to the additional charges due to extenuating circumstances. (Please refer) Only after we arrive and work on the property can we provide the extent of the work… & I believe I communicated that to you and showed you the work done to get rid of the grime (particularly shower, oven & walls) Perhaps I was not effective in my communication with you but I thought you acknowledged that even after I tried show you places we couldn’t reach. I recall you even expressed your willingness to pay extra (while showing me the unit) because of the extent of the work you ancipated. My apologies for the inconvenience by not giving you the accurate time… i based it upon our normal hours to complete similar tasks. We wanted to get as much dirt off (multiple attempts) to degrease as possible and leave your unit properly clean. Please accept my apology & regret for the experience.
